do a search for cigar beetles. Click the "find" button at the top of your forum screen. Been covered a million times already.

Look at your cigars. If they have holes thay are toast.

Place the others in a double ip-Lock bag and place in the goldest part of your freezer for 3 dyas. Then thaw in the refrigerator for 3 days, then bring to room temperature.

In the mean while vacuum out the humidor and reseason it properly. This may take 5-6 days.

Keep your humidor below 70 degrees and this might noit happen again.

I like to put my cigars in the microwave and nuke the little buggers. They blow up REAL good.

Welcome to the boards. How do you know you're maintaining the proper humidity if you haven't opened it in some time?

Sounds like beetles. Here's the thread where this was discussed recently.

Thats cool bro...at least I can read. I also have the supreme intelligence required to use a friggin search engine.

My take is, you found your way here so you obviously know how to use a computer, somewhat. Now master that little search function and you will save the locals a lot of headaches and annoyance.

Is that what you want to get out of this place, the warm fuzzy feeling that you like a million noobs before can mildly annoy a few people with your repetetive posting? Or maybe you came here for something more?.. your call.

Either way, you got a great answer from Doc and nobody but me said anything, and my retort was the mildest I know how to give. You got off easy no matter how ya slice it bud. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

That is great news Raven. I was wondering about your pooch. Didn't want to bring it up in case it was bad news. Glad to hear he is doing better.

ob2419,
Ya gotta understand that some here are somewhat intolerant of frequently asked questions and to ignore them prn (as necessary). This is not directed at any particular member, just something I have noticed over the past 10 months. I am a "noob" to cigar smoking, have learned a lot at this forum, and have greatly appreciated 99% of the posts.
About the search function: as dre mentions above, first, don't use the data field "search" at the very top of the page. That does not search the boards, but rather the entire site and has been rarely useful for me.
To find out about beetles, or humidors, or your favorite cigar, click on the "find" button at the top of the posts, and then do the keyword search. Contrary to what some believe, the search function on this board is anything but obvious.
Welcome to the boards!

Welcome to the boards!

They really need to relabel it as Search.

Or the damn noobs could just read my famous "Noobs Read This" or "BinDer's Beetles post" to know the score.

I'm sick and tired of all the Joe-five-posts who come on here after being a meber for 2-3 years and finally posting and asking a question that they should have seen 100 times if they had been participating members of this forum.

I'll say it again, this is a community, the people who come here, noob or not and participate and ask thoughtful questions and contribute end up getting the most from this forum.

The people who seldom come, p1ss all over us and then get mad when we correct them for breaking our standing protocols. Contrary to what you might think, this isn't the quick-fix cigar place. We are cultivating a community of true cigar lovers, aficionados if you will. If you are the occasional cigar smoker and wnat to pop in for free advice 1 a year, be prepared to get what you payed for!
