Brutal. I know I couldn't hack it there. I had some consulting to do at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis last Spring and the weather was wonderful as were the people. And will it get colder next month? I think I would be suicidal. Speaking of which doesn't MN have a rather high rate of suicide? And if decide to go that route Puffy, could I have your cigars?
What a pal!!! I don't think the suicide rate is higher here. The cylinder on the revolver freezes and won't turn. (I actually was hunting one time and it was so cold the cylinder oil hardened and the cylinder wouldn't turn) Anyway, most of my cigars are fakes!!!
It was 22 degrees this morning when I left for work and got up to 53 degrees today here in North Alabama.

was 9 when I left for work and 12 when I got home. Takes the bike a long time to warm up in that kind of cold, but as long as there is not snow on the streets..........

Definitely hard-core! I used to ride when it was in the twenties-thirties when I lived in the Great White North.....with the right bike and clothing (electric vest is a must) it was actually quite enjoyable.
Now, I'm a Wuss....I don't ride unless it's at least 65....but I can still ride year-round down here.

I just sprung for a snow-blower, a good-sized one. So it figures that the snowstorm that just passed, and the one or two forecasted for later this week, are each sounding like 3 or 4 inches and turning to rain near the coast. Hardly worth the effort to break out the new machine.
