I watched that show last night also and thought it was intriguing. Even though they found similar kind of coding in the novel Moby Dick I thought the amount of codes they found in the Bible to be kind of eerie.
Bible codes are certain phrases of wording found together on a single page in the Bible. A example would be like : Kennedy, assassination, in car, crossword puzzle style.
It's very interesting but it is my understanding that with the program they use there can be a few different ways to interpret things. So it can't be very accurate.

Bible codes theory have been thoroughly debunked by serious mathematicians and the entire field is generally not thought of as a serious contribution to scholarship.

I do believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. It’s some of the guys who read it and interpret it that are a little shady. For instance, I don’t think guys like Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell have a good grasp on its contents.
