This is such a hashed over topic. What is the best humidor. What kind of humidor should I get, so on and so forth.
I have looked far and wide for a humidor to take the place of the 4 that I have now. The problem is, size & options.
I want a humidor that holds 300 loose cigars, preferably in drawers, and at least 5 boxes, room for a digital humidifier (whichever one, as longas it is battery powered), has to be light enough to move from the upstairs to downstairs (seasons), and not cost an arm and a leg. This would rule out the Aristocrat, and a few others that are nice, but just too damn big.
I would build a coolidor, but I would rather this be something that I can have out (not so much on display, but not a cooler sitting down at my bar in the summer) without people wondering what the hell it is they are looking at.
Thank you all in advance, and be sure to check out the sale thread in the N/C forum....

Go to Tampa. That might be what you are looking for. Or if you want a nice pretty humi you can get Daniel Marshall seconds for a good deal. I have two DMs i picked up last year and they are fantastic display pieces.

I have only had this humi since Thangsgiving. No problems at all. Make sure you don't get the humidifiers too wet. With the vertical placement, they tend to leak if overly saturated. I found this out while seasoning the humi. Hasn't been a problem since though, as the humidifiers shouldn't be completely saturated anyways.
It would be nice if the two sections were open to each other, but since they are seperated, you have to buy two digital hygrometers, instead of just one...
Other than that, I love this humi. The glass top allows me to look at my cigars and check the humidity without opening it up. Enjoy yours...

not open?? i can look in the top section and there are slots so i can see the top of the first drawer. the drawers all have slots to. if i were to line the drawers up i could see the floor of the humi. evrything in mine is slotted.

Interesting... I just double checked mine. The floor of the upper section of my humi is definately a solid piece of spanish cedar. No slots. I wonder if it is a mistake? Either way, I still like it.
