I am in a huge quandry trying to decide one of life's big existential questions:

Which ARE better: the new mint or the new peanut butter Oreos? I am heading to the mountaintop (freezer) to mull over this and other deep issues of life...

Didn't cook a thing today - my son had a tournament and so we all went out for Vietnamese food for dinner.

I did by some kickin' shanks to make some Osso Buco tomorrow though... Sunday Dinner at Andy's... Who's coming?

Nutter Butters are great. I haven't had the mint or the peanut butter but I love peanut butter so I'm sure that will be no contest.

Last night I turned some left over chipotle salsa into barbecue sauce by cooking it down and adding some vinegar and honey. That went on some spareribs that got slow roasted on the grill over 4 hours. They were falling off the bone with a nice sweet and spicy kick. Served that with grilled veggies.

Pasta with homemade sauce and meatballs as big as a fist. Basically, forget the pasta, I could eat about 100 of these meatballs. They are insanely good.

Tonight I made some homemade Gnocchi (which is an Italian potatoe dumpling. the dish is sometimes called Gnocchi Di Patate) with roasted chicken. I covered it in a Parmesan cream sauce with arugula, leeks, roasted red peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms. Yummmmmmmmmm.

Sounds good as hells smokie. I'm going down saturday to fill out the financial aid stuff for cooking school. I still haven't made up my mind exactly what I'm going to do but seeing as I'm stuck in cali because my wife just signed with LAUSD I might as well go to cooking school as originally planned. If all goes well, 15 months from october I could be a cordon bleu grad. That would be sweet. Then I could top all you mofos. Big Grin

Pmp,

Culinary school was brutal, but worth it. I will never regret my experience.

I've enjoyed reading about some of the foods that you have made. At some point, when I have more time <outside of the office> we'll have to exchange a few recipes.
