I did not know he even had cancer. He was an actual Dr before he became a witter and created ER. He will be missed.

Bummer. Jurassic Park" and "ER", were high on my list of great shows.

Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.

Wow, this is a great loss!

I remember reading The Andromeda Strain, Congo, Jurassic Park 1, 2, 3, Rising Sun, and Sphere when I was in middle school.

The Andromeda Strain is the only book I have ever read twice.

I think I'm going to go read Prey. Nanobots are catching my attention these days.

A sad loss. I'll never forget reading Jurrasic Park as a kid.

Michael Crichton has been my favorite author since middle school. I really enjoy all of his books. As for Prey, I think it was one of his best works, definitely ready it!

One of my favorites, especially with his later novels where he was willing to take on cutting-edge scientific theories, and scientific and social dogma. RIP

What a talented author! I thoroughly enjoyed many of his books and appreciated how he took the time to know the subject matter in the most intricate detail. I thought he was great before, but since I live in outerspace I had no idea he wrote ER. Now I have even more respect for his skills.
