I saw it last night. Entertaining and nice effects. Overall I'd give it a 4/5.

I haven't seen it yet, but me and my wife will probably see it next weekend.

I would also give it a 4/5. The effects and action was great, but there was way too much stupid humor that kind of turned me off from enjoying it even more. I gotta admit, I almost cried a few times.

I took my son, he loved it. I did not enjoy it so much. Too long and even the autobots are spouting off curse words. I understand it was rated PG-13, yet they knew a lot of the audience would be younger. My trip to the theater reinforced to me how far our society has fallen, between the previews of new movies and television shows and the movie I was pretty much disgusted. Everything is sex, cursing and I could go on. Perhaps it is a sign of my age, but I'm barely over thirty.

It was PG-13 but my wife was surprised. I was too a bit. Still fun to watch but I would seriously consider not letting a younger cgild who had enjoyed the first one see this one.

On another note, it was as good as the first one. Michael Bay tried to cram as much in as he could to outdo the other one, which I understand he kind of has to do for a sequel. But with the length it sort of lost its effect after awhile. Of course, the first one had the "novelty" factor which is impossible to outdo. A fun action movie for those of us who grew up with Optimus.

Oh please, the thread is about a silly movie based on a cartoon and toy we all liked as kids...can't you keep your moral high-horse away for even one thread...You sound like a jittery mother in the late 50's worried that Ed Sullivan may show Elvis's hips...

To the OP, Sorry for the rant...

To the question, I saw the first one on the IMAX, so I'm going to hold out until it's on that screen again to see the second one. Those things transformed so quickly, and the screen was so big, it like a rollercoaster ride...

If you're going to be a prick, be a man about it and take it to email. The OP asked for opinions from people who saw the movie. From your post, you are the only one wasting the OP's time here, as you have not seen it. You have increasingly become stand-offish here, and I don't appreciate it. If you have something personal with me, my email is in my profile. Stop wasting everyone's time when you haven't seen the movie and secondly, I don't believe you even have kids, because you still are one.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who found it a bit inappropriate for a younger audience.

I think that is exactly the point Presley made. This is supposed to be a silly movie about cool toys, so one would expect to take their kid not worrying about sexual suggestions and such, only to find out it barely squeaked out a PG-13 rating. Presley makes a completely valid point, he saw the movie and expressed his opinion. I normally really enjoy your posts, Jag, but I think you let your opinion of Presley get in the way this time.

I too agree with Presley about the language and some of the content. I thought it was overboard. The plot would not have suffered one iota without the potty humor and cursing. For this reason, I gave it a 4/5. Overall, the movie was well done, but I thought some of the jokes and content were forced in to make it a more "mature" movie.

I have not seen it yet as I posted earlier. I just want to say I agree with Presley. It seems that everything in movies is about sex, cursing and extremely lame humor or politically driven, mostly to the left.

Not to say there are not good movies out there but they are very few and far between.

I am still looking forward to seeing Transformers though! Luckily my kids are grown up and I don't have the worry about the PG-13 rating.

I thought this movie warranted a Pg 13 rating. If any of you brought kids who were younger than that then that was your mistake. if you're almost ready for high school i would think you are ready for this movie.

I would say 3/5. The first one was way better. There was too many new robots to keep track of and just to much stuff going on. But it was still a good movie.
