Last night I torched the your '92 Vintage Robusto, this is a week after my first 'Rocky' cigar - the Sun Grown Toro. I thought the Sun Grown was a knockout but the Vintage totally blew me away. By far these are the absolute best constructed cigars that I have ever had. The '92 had a beautiful hand and appearance equally matched by the gorgeous aroma that came off the tip upon lighting it. My only negative comment was that the draw seemed to get a bit tight as I neared the end, other than that a perfect 10.

I have been into cigars for about 3 years, like more of a medium to fuller bodied smoke (Bolivar, Trinidad TTT, etc.) and came here to learn more about cigars overall and maybe get a few insights on some other great smokes.

And as far as Mr Blase's comments - I am sorry if my personal review was not to your liking or if you felt it was too "vague". But we are talking about cigars not a 2005 Corvette. There is just so much one can say about a cigar given the limited amount of space one is provided. I am sure all of your reviews and opinions are quoted and pasted up in numerous message boards and cigar books worldwide and that God knows how many people contact you on a daily basis to hear your golden words of cigar wisdom from high atop of that rock known as Mt Ego.

Relax Blase, life is too fuc**** short to get bent over my stupid reviews. If you have not learned that from the events of the past 7 days then you truly are as ignorant as yor post makes you out to be.

Welcome to the board Slider!!

Pay no attention to Binder....it's his job to beat-up on noobs. Sombody's got to do it.....and he enjoys it.

If you hang around a bit....you will see that he's an equal-opportunity abuser. Sending him some cigars will put you in his good graces (especially Iguanas).

You barge in here and start posting innocuous crap in the wrong forums, you didn't take the time to look around and see what this place is about and where you should be posting, you cursed and used foul language when I suggested you take your lame tripe to the appropriate room and I'm ignorant? I'm rude maybe, but nobody can accuse me of ignorance.

The events of the last 7 days? I love righteous and pompous people like you that hide behind events like Katrina so you can espouse how superior and human you are, while at the same time dropping the F bomb. Nice move, using a devestating targedy to make your point.

And yes, my reviews and cigar wisdom are all over the internet and I have been in cigar magazines. Maybe you should READ a little around here before you start attacking people.

I have helped countless noobs around here who actually took the time to read and learn what this place is about, THEN made useful, insightful posts or asked intelligent questions.

This is a community, it is what it is because people contribute and make the effort to take the time to get involved and share what they know and think. Try participating in useful ways and you'll be much more welcome.

And don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Really intelligent reply Slimer. I don't even have to rebutt, as you've made my point for me.

All of this for a paragraph telling how much he enjoyed a cigar?? Confused "Cigar Talk" is not the place for formal reviews, although I've seen some here, but I definitely have no problem with posting "I had ___ and I enjoyed it" here, in fact many including myself have done the same.

Welcome aboard, Slider. Hope you're still here.

saulphx - I realize that now and all opinions on cigars will be made in the correct area. My point being this could have been said with a simple comment such as I just amde. There was a need to make a comment as he originally did which was

" Try to keep vague and useless reviews in the NC or Review forums..."

That was a totally and completely uncalled for remark. And now, I come back at him I am called an idiot, etc. Sorry, I will not sit back and let guys like this make comments like that go without my own say

So, why don't we just end this and move on. There are much important things too worry about than this BS

Slider - first
BinDer doesn't need me to stand up for him, but he has a lot of useful information and supplies it in an unpretentious way. You get a mild sarcastic remark from him and go bananas.
second - your apologies seem awfully insincere.
Ease up.

Slider,

Welcome to the forums.

We all make mistakes, maybe Binder's choice of phraseology struck a raw nerve, however your replies didn't do a hell of a lot to improve your presentation.

Personally I find Binder to be an arrogant SOB, but I give him his credit, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience that I have benefited from. The links he has in his signature are worth reading.

Have a nice day.
