I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

MrsDoc, my sons and the girls at the office are done. There is nobody else on my list. I even stopped by the liquor store last night and treated myself to a few bottles of Christmas Spirits.

I finish on Christmas Eve. I have been that way for 20 years.

I wish I would have known earlier that buying her diamonds would let me be allowed to smoke cigars in the house.

In the immortal words of John MacEnroe, you cannot be serious! With apologies to Doc(sort of Wink) and anyone else who is actually done with their holiday shopping by Dec. 8, one of the following must be true:

-- You have no friends or family (In this case, you do have my apology and sympathy).

-- You have no life, nor much else better to do than getting all of your shopping done early.

-- You are Scrooge (pre-Ghost of Christmas Future encounter), and are done because of your extreme parsimony.

-- You are under the care of a professional for at least one, and perhaps many compulsive-type disorders.

Just kidding! I always start out with good intentions of getting my shopping done early, but end up in the mall in those last few days along with everybody else.

I finished last weekend, but my bride and I are only trading stockings (not those stockings Red Face ) and one gift this year (saving pennies) so it wasn't terribly difficult. Wink

Wife does most if not all for me. She even will buy for herself from time to time. Makes it very easy for me.

Your household gift-buying rules sound a lot like mine!
