I received a delivery today from my tobacconist. A box of DonCarlos Doble Robusto, a box of Hemingway Classic Maduro and a box of Sungrown Chateau Fuente. I also got 2 5packs, one of La Aurora 100 ano Chruchills and a 5-pack of Olivia Series V Robusto.
I have the Olivia Series V Robusto this evening.
I have never smoked one of these so it will be a new experience for me.

Already had a AF Don Carlos Robusto (simply heavenly) with my favorite Lagavulin single malt. Later, I have a Punch Rare Corojo Double Corona in mind and I’m continuing with my snifter of Lagavulin.
Doc, I've been trying to locate an Oliva Series V at my local shops and haven't found any yet. I *do* have some Oliva Series G that I like as a morning smoke once-in-awhile. I'll bet the Vs are nice.
Anejo Shark; I'll be giving these away for Christmas.
The first inch or so actually had me wondering whether I would be disappointed, but it improved immensely. The last third of this cigar was a real treat.

Let us know what you think of the Oliva V, Doc. I really enjoy them. I tried to get some today at the reservation, but they were sold out of the lancero, which is the size I really enjoy. They only had the double churchill or whatever it's called, but it's rather large for my taste.
Anyway, nothing for me tonight, I smoked too much yesterday.

For my second smoke I ended up having a Tatuaje Havana VI Hermosos and what a pleasure it was. Smoked it to the nub. I've been getting into smaller ring sizes and really enjoying it. I've got to get another box of these. Of course, I had it with a snifter of Lagavulin. Life is good.
After all the hoopla about these here, I had my Padron 1964 Anni. Magnificent aroma(the Pepin Garcia Cuban Blend and the Aroma de Cuba are the other two that actually received praise for their aroma in my logbook) and wonderful, dancing smoke. Don't know if it's the box pressed geometry, but to watch the smoke walk up the cigar top and then slowly twist and turn into the air at the cap is a mezmerizing experience. Like the 1926, it is a tad strong for me in my rookie smoking years.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

An Oliva Serie V Double Robusto this evening. This afternoon a RP '92 of about a double robusto size.
