My favorite team along with the Bruins! Goes with growing up in Michigan and now living outside Boston
Speaking of Boston, I have NEVER seen such devoted fans as those that support the Red Sox/Bruins/Patriots (and Celtics to a lesser extent, at least until this year)!

I smell a Habs / Flames Stanley cup reunion... After watching the series' so far...
Dallas embarrased Anaheim, and now they are going to kick the crap out of each other leaving what ever team comes out of that series battere and bruised...
Detroit is going to cake walk Nashville, but I doubt they have a goalie that can steal a series anymore...
If Kipper plays like he has in the first 2 games and Calgary can keep Super Joe down like they have so far San Jose is in trouble (once Iggy flips his switch)...
Minnesota had a great season, but their lack of Playoff experience is going to leave them scratching their heads once Sakic is done with them in 5 games...
As for the East...
Carey Price might just be good enough to take Montreal all the way, like their last rookie goalie did back in '86
Ottawa spends too muck time bickering with goalies, and Malkin spends too much time scoring on them for their season to go past 5 games
Ovechkin will spin some heads in Philly but Washingotn doesn't have the playoff depth to go the distance. This one will go 7 games and Briere will put the Capitals to bed
You can never count Brodeur out of a playoff series, and with 18 stanley cup rings the devils know how to bounce back from a 2 - 0 series deficit
This years playoff run is going to be a lot of fun...
I was in a Gentlemans Club in Ottawa years ago and all of a sudden the lights came on, I thought it was a raid. When we asked the bartender what was up he said, Ottawa was playing Montreal in the Stanley Cup series and they were showing the game. We could still see the girls upstairs in the private lounges.

Detroit Red Wings are the team to beat. They have 4 solid lines and the best two goaltenders in the league this year (and many others). Injuries have hit the Wings, but you would never have known it as they have kids in Grand Rapids that are ready to step in if needed. The best defenseman in the league, maybe ever on the blueline. All the naysayers have said the Wings are "soft" but they have lead Nashville in hits both games thus far. They are solid from Ownership down to Zamboni driver. I like to see any orginal six team in the playoffs and go far. My most memorable Habs is when Detroit put 9 goals in on Roy and they traded him the next day. That was great. Go Wings GO!

We needed Kovi to get that goal. With the pressure off his back he can open up his game. He seemed to be playing a little tight. Gripping the stick tight and thinking to much. Watch out if he gets hot and the Habs powerplay catches fire again. GO HABS GO.
Wing Nut here. I've never understood all the hatred for the wings. I understand the old rivalries, but the cities that have recently had teams move there??? The wings have proven that they can win under salary caps and adapt to rules changes?

Ah, a QUeensryche fan I see. And I thought I was the only one. Met Geoff Tate last summer. You know, Michael Wilton hates cigars. In the Mindcrime at the Moore DVD released last summer, he says that every time he smokes a cigar, he wakes up the next morning and asks himself "who took a crap in my mouth?" Sorry to get off topic, but I had to call this one.

I think some still see them as a sort of evil empire, even though they're not as good as in years past.
Personally, I will never support any team that Bertuzzi played for, even if that team was my hometown Sabres. Bett's should have thrown his out of the league and encouraged the Vancouver police to go after him.
Moore's brother is on the Leafs now, I think. I'm not sure whether he and Bertuzzi ever met on ice, but if it was my brother, I would make sure to give him a sound beating. It would be worth the suspension, fines, and possible jail time.
Actually, a sound beating wouldn't even be enough. I would probably wait for him outside and make Zednick's terrible injury look like a paper cut.
He obviously doesn't mind sucker punches, but I wonder how the big, strong hockey player would feel about a sucker punch that includes a special twist; a chainsaw. Maybe he's a baseball fan? He might enjoy a baseball bat wrapped in razor wire.
I'm not even a violent person at all, but that was horrific and he didn't really get punished. Wow, a year suspension which was during the lock out if I recall. Big punishment.

The Habs simply let the Bruins win as a courtesy to Bostonians. They had been humiliated enouh with 13 consecutive losses to the Canadiens -- let them have their day of hued victory.

Flash, so does that courtesy extend to Tuesday night's game as well?
That would sure make Thursday night's game interesting! Two more wins will set us up to finish off this series at home on Saturday - a little more courtesty then would also be appreciated
