Perhaps you're right about that, but I think snopes did make the point that the phony "Letter from a Florida Teacher" was "misleading and inaccurate", not out-and-out false. That aside, my point really was that the original poster used the snopes site to desseminate that anti-immigrant letter they were debunking, without realizing the nature of the website he linked us to.

I was wrong and operating on an incorrect assumption because I didn't go far enough back in the thread -- I thought you had posted the link to the snopes.com page that used that phony "Florida teacher" email as an example of an internet myth. I see now you started the thread by simply posting the email you'd received from someone else, without knowing it was misleading and inaccurate.

When I'm wrong, I'm really wrong, and I apologize for my mistake.
