Well I finally bit the bullet just now and bought myself a new humidor off ebay. A 250 Ct. Treasure chest looking model that I had been eying for awhile. My little 50ct desktop model has been spilling over into a big tupperdor for quite sometime, and I figured I'd better do something about the 45 or 50 cigars I won on cigarbid yesterday. I kept stalking the auctions online waiting to save a few dollars on a humi.. and kept being indecisive and wasting a ton of time so I just bucked up and used the buy it now to get it overwith. Figured I'd already probably burned at least 20 hours stalking auctions trying to save 50 bucks... it had to stop!
I found that life got a lot easier when I got a glass-top humidor (so I'm not opening it to peek at the humidity reading or ogle the cigars all the time), a digital hygrometer and a Cigar Oasis with extra low profile reservoirs (to minimize the space displaced by the unit). I did have to adjust mine over a week or so, to get it where I wanted it, but most people use it as pre-set. Now it is low-maintenance.

Hmmm when I get some more cash saved up I'll definitely look into that. How many of you other fellas use a Cigar Oasis?
I've had my cigar oasis for about 5 months now. I really like the idea that you never have to worry about the humidity. It was something that always bothered me. I have some expensive smokes in there (to me that is) and I was always checking to see if the level of humidity that I like was maintained. Now I know it is were I like it.
