The person that abducted the little girl (Jessica Lunsford) in Forida has been caught. THis piece of trash killed the little girl after raping her.
His name is John Evander Couey. My question to the system is WTF was he doing out of prison. He has an extensive criminal record that includes: 24 arrests for burglary, carrying a concealed weapon and indecent exposure. In 1991, he was arrested in Kissimmee on a charge of fondling a child under age 16. Records don't show how the case was resolved.
During a house burglary in 1978, Couey was accused of grabbing a girl in her bedroom, placing his hand over her mouth and kissing her, Dawsy said. Couey was sentenced to 10 years in prison but was paroled in 1980.
Why was he aloud to walk after onle 2 years in prison? The system was proud of the fact they got Martha Stewart put in prison for lieing but let this garbage out after onle 2 years in prison? WTF? I thint to parole board should be heald responsable for this crime for granting this garbage a parole after only 2 years. If this had been my little girl this garbage would be a dead man..............

SFC, I read the news tonight when I got home and I just shuddered. I have 2 girls around her age. There aren't enough police in this state to guard me if someone were to touch them, muchtheless do something as despicable as he did. I don't even know what to say.

This POS should never have been released. If it were up to me, he would last about twenty minutes, I'd have a .308 trained on him from about three hundred yards and he'd never see it coming.

I wonder what would happen if we made it to where the person being paroled would have to live next door to one of the parole board members for a year how many of these low lifes would get paroled.

Nah....that's too quick. Make him pay. Cut his eyelids off, then slowly lower him into a vat of boiling oil, an inch at a time.
We have prisons in this country for two basic reasons: First is to punish people who commit crimes. The other reason is to protect society. If a person is a threat they should be locked up and taken off the street. Studies have shown that sex offenders especialy child molesters can not be cured. If this as the case then I dont gige a rats ass about their "rights" it is to big of a risk to ever let them back out on the street EVER!

Anyone ever read John Grsihams first novel, A Time To Kill? It's about a father who kills the two men who raped his 9-year old daughter. The father is then put on trial for murder. I won't say anymore because I don't want to give the story away, but I am reminded about that book. I don't have a daughter (I have 2 sons), but if someone ever touched one of my kids he would be dead. I would do anything and everything to kill that Bastard.
And, Raven, I like the idea about have the parolee living next door to the parole officers. There would be no one paroled again.

He should suffer a long and painful death. I would be willing to lend a hand in the process. We would have to keep him near the brink of death for a long time.

In Afghanistan they have a game they liked to play with catpured Russian Officers called "Death by 10,000 Slashes". The object of this game is to see how long you can take to remove the skin and keep the person alive.
However I have a better idea we should take him to the local zoo and cover him with the scent of a female Silverback gorilla in heat then throw him in a cage with several male Silverbacks.

Raven I like the way you think.

In many states (maybe all), the addresses of the worst sex offenders released after incarceration/treatment are posted online and their neighbors are notified. I read in the paper that 15 of them live in the apartment complex adjacent to the neighborhood where I grew up. I know they say that a sex offender can never be fully rehabiliated.
I wonder how many of these repeat their crimes -- also, how many of these are attacked/threatened by their neighbors.

Sorry, but I still like my method better. I don't want this scum to sit in jail at the expense of tax payers. If it were my kid, he wouldn't make it to jail. Head shot at 300 yards...lights out...no drain on the judicial system, and a scumbag eliminated

I have a 12 year old daughter who looks much like Jessica. Her photographs on TV really grabbed me a few weeks ago when she was first missing. I also felt terrible for her poor father. It was clear this little girl was his life.
As far as that POS scum, I agree with most of you. I would be happy to make this bastard suffer hard and long before I buried a hammer in his skull. (And, I would be able to rest well that night!)
There is nothing in this world that makes me more angry than when someone hurts a young child. In cases like this, it pushes me right over the edge. It is why I could never be a cop. I don't know how those folks can restrain themselves. I am sure, with them seeing these things up close, their rage must be greater than mine.
I'm spending more time with my daughter this weekend.

My first thought if I were to read any of the above in an article was unprintable. And I used to be one of the liberals. What happened? Maybe it had to do with becoming an adult and having a 9 year old son???

Saul,
It is very difficult to stomach acts against minors like the one we have just observed or for judges being shot in the court room. I have found that the older you get, the more you observe these things and many others that tend to make me much less tolerant. I have no patience for people such as this and as the years wear on I have fewer answers except to rid society of this type of person. How can you protect your children when people like this are allowed to return to society? The real trick is not allowing ones self to get out of balance - gettng harder all the time. I don't think our government and courts are looking out for the good of the bulk of society they focus on the few who have violated their right to exist in our society. Just my two cents worth.
