Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the forum. Created my account a while ago and have been reading posts off and on for the past few months. Figured it's time I joined in.
My name is Matt. I live in NC and have been smoking cigars for a few years now. I tend to lean towards the mild to medium bodied cigars, but I have enjoyed a nice stout cigar every now and then. I have been keeping a cigar journal for a while now, writing down my thoughts on the different cigars I've smoked. I recently decided to get a little more high tech with it and I started a cigar blog and I have been writing my thoughts there. I have really enjoyed this forum so far. I have found lots of great advice, no shortage of opinions, and even some good sports talk. I look forward to participating more in the future.

Which link is an issue? The one that I am a member and own a cigar store, or the one in my signature? I thought this was a cigar forum and not a cigar selling website. As a Aficionado subscriber, cigar smoker and owner or a cigar store I don't see that as a problem.
Probably the one to your cigar store which would violate the policy they have listed right at the top of the forum . But, you can do whatever you want.

Anyone know what happened to Matt? Posts at his blog stopped a while back and I thought he'd just taken a break, but then I read a post at Cigar Envy mentioning that he'd been ill.
I checked back at his blog and there was a post up talking about an operation and complications. Anybody in the area know how he's doing? Or Matt, are you still checking in here?

I think you have me confused with two other bloggers. My Blog has remained active. It is not uncommon for me to go a week or two without a new post. I've taken no break and I have not been ill, nor do I mention anything about illness or an operation on my blog. However, Jeff at Cigar Envy did take a break and his blog went inactive for a little while after Christmas. And Richard at BlankMind did post about some health issues and an operation.
As for me not posting on this board much anymore... I spend most of my Forum time over on anther board now.
