"While Sen. Clinton has made clear throughout this process that she will do whatever she can to elect a Democrat to the White House, she is not seeking the vice presidency, and no one speaks for her but her. The choice here is Sen. Obama's and his alone," campaign spokesman Phil Singer said Thursday.

If he chose her for a running mate, how long after the inauguration do you think he would live? I'd say less than a year.

When all this began, she thought she had it made. Sold the bears skin before killing it.

Now, she's losing. No wonder she's imploding.

But, hey, she's still Senator of NY.

Which, of course, presupposes that a country which has elected white males as President and Vice President in every single election in its history will elect a ticket that contains none. While I think that America is "ready" to elect a black or a woman to either or both posts, I am unconvinced that it is ready to elect two who are so relatively liberal and at the same time. For that reason, I think Obama should pass on Hillary and pick some older white guy - or would that REALLY pin a target on his back? The really unsettling aspect of the assassination of a President Obama is the effect it would have on the already delicate state of race relations in this country. If you think Kennedy's assasination spawned conspiracy theories .....
