I was smoking a cigar tonight and as I was inhaling hot ash was coming out of the end of the lit cigar. I was not a dry cigar at all. I then did some maintenance on it by ashing in a ashtray. But it continiously gave out buring ash at the end of the cigar. I finally gave up and put it out in fear of catching something on fire. Any recommendations for this?

Usually, when organic matter combusts, it leaves an ash.

Try smoking a cigar with long filler. People like to talk about the long ash, but all that shows is that the cigar is made with "long filler" (i.e., whole leaves) as opposed to "short filler" (i.e., chopped up leaves bunched up into a cigar...like a cigarette). The cigars made with long filler will (or should) hold an ash; the cigars made with short filler have ashes that crumble and fall away.

Either that, or get a better ash tray.
