OK, I am an idiot. I decided against my better judgment to order something from this company, even though there were bad reviews on this site that I chose to read and ignore. STUPID MISTAKE!
I ordered something LAST MONTH and even (stupidly) paid extra for faster shipping. The item was supposed to be in stock, to boot.
Long story short, I have had non-replies to my emails, except for one that said "we'll ship it out this week" -- That was 2 weeks ago, on top of that message coming a week AFTER I was supposed to have gotten my item. Naturally their credit card processing works flawlessly, and they got their $$ right away.
Seems like this is a one-man operation operating out of 5096 SW 162nd Ave, in Miramar Florida. Probably some moron named Dave, since my credit card was billed to "Dave's Humidors"...
Somebody who lives nearby go and kick the crap out of "Dave" for me, and tell them Masher sent you.

Sorry about your experience with this company. I too had seen the postings on this forum. I will steer clear of them in the future. If I lived in Fl I would take you up on the challenge with Dave!! What about a return policy??

While we're on the subject, I have had a questionable experience with premiumhumidors dot com albeit to a lesser degree. Ordered three humidors from them, got tracking numbers for all of them (3 separate) and two of a like kind made it, the third, a different one did not. The third humidor's tracking number never indicated that it was even checked onto the truck, and 5 emails demanding answers yeilded NO replies. And of course, the credit card transaction worked wonderfully. Go figure, the highest priced one never showed up. Aholes to be sure. Of course the ahole is me since I never called the cc company for compensation.

They used to be located on Long Island but got big and moved to Florida.
They have had a lot of problems since the move and I could not recommend them.
Live and Learn.
Depending on how much you want to spend, how large a humidor you would like and where you live I would recommend www.Aristocrathumidors.com a site run by a member of this board, Bob Stabell

Thanks Doc, I've seen pics of those humidors and would like to build something based on their design.
I was buying an OASIS from cheaphumidors -- I build my own humidors, and although I must say I've yet to get one "perfect" they're better than most that are for sale out there.

Have read all the responses I was going to suggest two things. I have several boxes from Thompsons and they work great. A small box humidor only needs two criteria to be good. It must have a Spanish Cedar lining and it must have a decent seal so it doesn't leak. It's a little like super expensive hotels and less expensive hotels. If they both have good beds, you don't care how lavish the room is when your eyes are closed. Most really expensive humnidors are window dressing. the functionality is in the cedar and the seal. I did what you suggest several years ago. I found an old cabinet and lined it with Spanish Cedar and added some Honduran Mahogany. I fully lined it, made shelves that slide out and used a closed cell foam insulation strip to insure that the door sealed well. I didn't spend a fortune on a humidifier. I got some florist foam and cut it into soap sized chunks and put them in plastic soap travel containers. I drilled 1/4 inch holes in the tops of the soap containers. I have about 3-4 cubic feet inside my little cabinet and I use two soap dishes. It has worked wonderfully for the last three years and my humidity level only varies 1-2%, if that. Visit used/consignment furniture stores and look for the right small cabinet and convert it. You'll end up with an impressive humidor that could cost you th ousands for a few hundred dollars. Good luck.

Yep...Stupid mistake. Especially after you reading that everyone pretty much got their humidor yet recieved it quite delayed, sometimes more than 2-3 weeks.
I ordered one once. Took 2 days without selecting two days. Ordered another took 2 weeks. Ordered an anshtray.....got a refund.
If your not in a hurry, i think you can find good buys from dave, but absolutely do not expect any kind of phone/e-mail customer support. This guy e-mails you no more than once a week. You will never get a phone response, nor voicemail.
Well, I entered an official complaint against the company with the BBB, and sent a copy to the business.
I received (at long last) a one-sentence email saying that my item was sent UPS. No mention of when, no tracking number, blah blah blah, same-%@!&-different day. So will this be the week my order arrives? I'm not really holding my breath, but I'll update you guys if I ever receive anything.

they always try to make things right once you fill out a complaint. Dollar late, penny short.

I have no way of knowing whether my complaints helped matters out, or if this was par for the course. But is it concidence that within a week of me complaining to the BBB, the item showed up? Hmmm.
I wanted either a refund, or the item delivered -- so I got the latter. It also appears that the vendor did not charge me for the 3-day shipping either, but rather the standard shipping price. So maybe they are not crooked, just inept.
At any rate, I won't be doing any more business with them at any price.
