I too am a robusto guy, and of the 50 gauge.

38-46 are my standard smokes, with the occasional Robusto, Piramide, Juileta 2 or Prominente thrown in.

I prefer 38-52 right now I really am enjoying the coronas and lancero's (38-42), but I still enjoy a nice DC or robusto.

I prefer the larger ring gauges, 50 or so and the robusto or torpedo lengths.

I thought I'd revive this thread because lately I've been smoking and enjoying Lonsdale sizes (6.5x44) very much. Before, I almost always smoked robustos.

I recently started smoking through a box of VSG Illusions that give me a very enjoyable, rich flavor profile that I don’t get from the larger VSG’s. The same goes for some La Aroma de Cuba’s I’ve been smoking where I compared their Pyramid (6 1/8x50) to their Cetros (6.5x44) and was surprised again to find the smaller smoke was more flavorful and richer tasting.

I still enjoy my Padron 3000’s, which are 5.5x52 and still have a lot of DPG robustos around.

Just thought I'd post my experiences and find out if others here may be changing their vitola of-choice lately.

No real preference, I like to enjoy many different RG's, anywhere from 40 and topping out at about 60...

42-60, mostly 48-54 it really depends on the time that i have to smoke. If I have all the time in the world there is nothing like a maduro series R #6 or #7.

Typically 47. I prefer churchills and double coronas, however belicosos are nice as well. So 47-54.

Nothing less than 50 but prefer 54 - 56. Anything less than that is a cigarette to me.

I tend to smoke cigars between 48 and 54. One of the exceptions to that is the Chisel which is a 60.
