Throughout my time smoking cigars, the thousand of reviews I've read, and the hundreds of cigars I've smoked, it is my opinion that based on the price, quality, and overall smoke of the Padron 2000 (or any of the thousand series for that matter) is easily one of the best smokes for your money. Since my very first Padron 2000 long ago, it has become one of my everyday cigars and I have never had an issue with its flavor, its consistency, or anything at all. Hell, maybe it's just my kind of cigar, but I recommend it to any new smoker seeking their personal favorite or any seasoned cigar smoker.

I agree 110%, also I recommend punch cutting 2000's I'd have it no other way, besides the cap is perfect for a punch ,nice post AD

The Padron 3000 natural is my #1 go-to smoke.

The problem is, they are in short supply more often than not lately.

TK1, I never had a problem using a Palio double-blade cutter. But even though I've never used one, I can see what you mean about using a punch on these.

I know nothing about cigars. I've had a few Cubans that I loved (partagas and punch) and a few dominicans that left me feeling underwhelmed.

I had my first Padron 2000 today and I was blown away. It's really complex and has a bouquet, much like a great single malt or aged wine. It's a totally different type of bouquet of course, much darker and more masculine, but it's definitely there.

Why don't they make more cigars like this?

Also, I couldn't help but notice that this one reminded me of the first couple times I smoked weed. It's not a bad thing, because weed smoke smells good compared to crappy tobacco. Just funny.

I cut my teeth on Padrons and they are easily the best value out there. Always consistent with that great Earthy Padron flavor. I always try to have some around.

Steve, I too have noticed that in my B&Ms here they are becoming more and more difficult to find. I hope other people aren't cathcing the Padron bug too!

AdamDias, the more of these I have, the more I think you are right. Could be the best bang for the buck.

Funny you should bring this up. I was smoking cigars last night with a buddy of mine and we both make it a point to keep a box of 2000's around at all times. It just seems to be the sweet spot in the regular Padron line in terms of bang for the buck.

I have tried the Padron 3000 and really enjoyed them.

I'm interested in picking up some of the churchills, has anyone tried the 6 7/8 x 46 size? Do they have a similar flavor to the thousand series?

I'm glad you all agree, and pertaining to the shortage of Padrons you are speaking of--I do not seem to have that problem. My two local B&M's, which are both within 5 miles of me, are fully stocked with Padrons. Maybe try going to your B&M and requesting they get more shipments, I know that my retailers often ask me if theres anything special that I think they should order.

On another note, a buddy of mine and myself picked up two Padron 80th Anniversary's. For those of you who do not know, these cigars are extremely rare, with only one roller in the world with tobacco aged a minimum of 5 years. I am not sure when we will smoke them becuase we are going to save them for a very special occasion. I will be sure to let you all know how they turned out.

I agree Padron 2000's or 3000's are the best cigars for your money, especially the maduro's. You can always find them from Ivan Ries. They are an amazing store and are now online.

I've always noticed this with all the Padron thousand series...when taking a cold pull after clipping, there’s the unmistakable taste of seafood. My guess is, it has something to do with the fertilizer Padron uses.

I love seafood.

I have never tasted seafood and I take a cold taste of every Padron I smoke..I'll look out for that but maybe try buying them from a different store? That just doesn't seem right.

...on every Padron 3000 I've had from at-least 30 boxes from 5 different on-line sources in as many states.

My personal fav is the Padron Maduro 4000, nice and big, great cigar.

The other that I enjoy are any Padron Maduro 1964 Anni.

I haven't been smoking for that long, but the first cigar that ever wowed me was a Padron 2000.
