Nice humidor. I wish I was good at working with wood. Where did you get the spanish cedar for the inside of the humidor?

Thanks Raven,

The cedar came from my fathers too (he has a couple of small buildings full of hard woods Smile )

The humidors didn't come out to bad. That's only because if I didn't have a tool at home, they have it at work. Makes it much easier to do things like that. I also made my Father one.

I also added a picture of "the beast" to the bottom of those pics Wink

That looks like a great humidor. Building it personally makes it extra special. I'm sure your Dad appreciated it.

Thanks All

I wanted one that was a handy size (wife lets me keep it next to my chair Smile )

I should have put Quadrant hinges on it but I settled for some plain ole antique brass ones. I have some other ideas for the next box Smile

It took about 2 hrs a night for about a week to build.

LMAO I aven't erd a ting from Pu$$y since he went to live wit da fishes.

Did anyone recognize that wooden tubo at the bottom of that page?

Eddie

Thanks,
I have smoked 1 of these, I've got 2 more. I got them at a liquor/cigar shop in Anderson, IN. The Lady there told me these were an atempt to bring in miss labeled cubans that were caught by customs like 10 yrs ago and auctioned off lately. I would like to know the truth about them Smile I actually thought it was pretty good. It taste like its aged. The band says "RJ Puro Habano Seleccion Especial" I've Googled it but haven't found anything yet

Does the tubo say Made in Panama? Customs would not auction off authentic cubans.

csmithnj,

Yup, it says "made in Panama" and "Specialty made by cuban tobacco rollers"

I was kinda interested in finding out about it's background. Does the RJ with the leaves above look familiar at all?

albertm,
On the cedar parts I used a water proof wood glue (It dries without an odor) and the solid cherrie sides where Gorilla glued Smile

Ok, I added a couple of 3d blue drawings of the new humi I think I'm going to build next.

I'd like any suggestions or recomendations from you cigar pros Smile

It's drawn at 16" across the front, 12" front to back, and 24" overall height.

the top opens for a quick smoke and I believe I could get 4 or 5 boxes below the bottom pull out shelf.

I'd appreciate any help,
Eddie
