No, that was not directed at you. You mentioned a 275 GTB. That was correct. I put GTB when the car that I was speaking of was a GTC. I was correcting myself, not you. What you and I were talking about, are two different cars.
when I was a LOT younger I had some great cars , a 55 Dodge Lancer Royal w/392 Firedome 2 - 4 bbl carbs & no P/S , it was a Tank that did 12.99 in the Qtr.Mile , a 340 dart sport w/6pack , a 67 GTO, a 72 351 Torino sport & a 63 Corvair Monza spyder convertable , , it would pull the front wheels off the ground , but I would realy love to get an old Mustang Convertable or a 289 Cobra .A 57 Bel Air would be fine with me , but now I drive a Sable , not a town car yet, but I see one on the horizon ! the OLD MANS CAR ! Enjoy, Vince

Hey Vinny, got to say, I love those baby Hemi's. I am currently building a 1927 Ford roadster p/u with a 331 Desoto Hemi. This is my second one (baby hemi) to build, and this one should be the wildest with its dual quad intake, and open zoomie headers. Sounds like you have run down the strip a bit, so I am sure you understand what I am speaking about. Nice cars man,. Rik

That was a long time ago, back in the 60's when I was spending time at the strip, , kids change your priority's , & I went from the track to the ballet studio , quite a bit of culture shock , I still get chills down my spine when I watch my daughter dance , well she isnt dancing much any more but her 8 year old son is , I dont think he will be the next Barishnacov, but he finger nails will be clean & all the skin will be on his knuckles , I hard a hard time with that, torn between the cars & the Kitchen , I did end up a Chef & not a wrench turner , who knows I might have been the next Carrol Shelby , BUT I am happy being me . !!!!! Enjoy, Vince

Just got in from the Downriver Cruise, it's a pre classic cruise to the Woodward Dream Cruise here in Detroit. I saw a lot of oldies I wouldn't mind parking in my driveway, but my 2 faves are a 67 Mustang Fastback and a 70 Dodge Challenger.

57 Ford Sunliner V8 with with 312 cubic inches and 245HP Cost new, $2505.
56 Hudson Rambler, seems rambler merged with everyone back then, including Nash. Loved that car, the reclining seats, and the whiff of my old man's cigars when I was riding in the back seat.

A 1958 Corvette Convertible. Of course I couldn't afford one then, nor do I want to shell out the bucks to get one now. but it is still my all time "dream car"
