It's not a matter of being nice to a "noob", it's about being decent towards a fellow human - especially a BOTL.

Binder definitely is not a true BOTL, IMHO and definitely doesn't get it.

I actually feel sorry for him, he has a classic inferiority complex and acceptance issues.

I know I am not actually reading this. Both these guys can't be for real. Shorthair can't possibly be saying any of that with a straight face.

These guys should never be left alone with a keyboard. They should only be allowed to have a mouse.

If you guys make me laugh any harder I'm gonna split at the sides.

It's about being decent towars another human??? OMG!!!! Maybe he's an alien and likes humans???

Your just killing me.

I'm quite frequently alone with my keyboard, a sexy slim ergonomic model with silicone wrist pad enhancements. I put on some Barry White, turn the bass up, light a candle and pour the two of us some wine. She say I really know ho wto push her buttons. I hunt and peck a little and then when she's heated up I go all caps lock on her, drives her wild. Soon she's begging me to hit the insert key and before you know it, we've spent the whole night ctrl-alt-deleting our brains out. Oh yeah. Eek

Where do you get off? You don't even know me you condesending arrogant prick.
You are why this Forum has the reputation it has.

I'm glad to have met you Albert Fricking Einstien.

Forgive me mods it's hard to take these insults from a darn juvenille when you've been working 100 hours a week trying build a successful smokeshop.

Lighten up Shorthair. He admitted he finds us funny and if I can amuse people all the better. Big Grin

Also, I might bust chops a little, but I do it without the cursing and personal attacks. You see, I judge people but their online postings, that's all. I don't speculate about them otherwise. I don't draw lines in in the sand and say North or South, Yankee or Johnny Reb.

You seem to take this all too personally Shorthair and in the end, this is only some board on the Internet.

I really don't think anyone here, myself included, dislikes you as much as you think they do, or as much as you seem to dislike them.

When I have to be the voice of reason, things are pretty sad. Please, can't we all just get along?

Man, you guys have got to lighten up. It's like you are trolling around trying to start a flame war. I've never said I hate anyone specifically. I just hate the same silly posts and the same dumb questions. Hatred of people is just wrong.

I love cigars and I love discussing them with people. Even if someone has the opposite point of view from me, I can tolerate that. I don't hate someone for that. I'm saddened by hatred, especially if it is directed at someone just because of what they write in a forum.

I think most people here seem to forget that you can always not read or respond if something upsets you.

It's not your discussion of cigars that's in question. It's the HATEFUL, condescending way you address others, as though you're the self-appointed guardian of all cigar knowledge on this forum. You enjoy belittling others, and I've always hated those kinds of people. I love this forum and I hate to see a loser like you spoil it for others as well as for myself. Off to work, some of us do have lives.

1.Binder I was not pointing at you bro. But like we say down here( where people speak kindly to one another and don't poke fun at the mentally handicapped i.e. "noobs") "the hit dog hollers' and you hollered pretty quick this time. My comments were directed at the a-hole, that without provocation, started this attack me. Why did he start this thread? Merely to try and make himself look clever. Wouldn't you agree?

2.My mother was born and raised in New Jersey so I don't have some generic "hate" as you describe it, for all people from the North. Half of my family are from the North and they all seem to know how to interact with folks without being so snotty.

3. Lighten up????????? Who is the one that has to constently attack these cigar smoking beginners? And I'm not just talking about a jab or two followed by a comment like" just kidding young fella, we'll help you anyway we can". (Look at yourself as an internet tobacconist. No matter how many times these same old questions get asked give a good reply to help the new fella. Or you could......JUST AVIOD THE THREAD!)

4. I hold no predetermined notion about anyone I meet because of where they are from or the color of their skin or because they might have a different accent. But I can surely tell pretty quick if I like somebody or not by their actions. When somebody from Michigan starts a thread like this it only adds to the other data I have collected over 43 years about people from above the Mason-Dixon. ( I've met and known some damn good folks from up there but people spyguy007 ruin it for me).

Oh, yeah Binder go back and read the original thread that was quoted. I did not make those ugly comments in the above quote about you. The insults directed at you were from someone else. Einsteinguy007 combined those insults under my post about being nice to fellow board members.

...come in here dear boy, have a cigar, you're gonna go far.....

Paparick, please post one example of my hateful posts towards others. I hate stupid questions and I hate stupid posts, not the people who ask them. I usually take one of two tacts if I disagree with someone; I use a bit of comedy or I use fact.

Ohhh, I didn't know that. Sorry spyguy007 I didn't realize how green at this you were. Thompsons......wow.......really he said that?

Binder I don't dislike you, I just wish you wouldn't smash the newbies so quick. They can't help it if they are uneducated, as we all were when we first started into this great hobby.

Enough of this foolishness, I'm off to the shoppe to hang new smoke-eater in the smoking lounge. Football season is just around the corner.
Y'all be cool.

Didn't think there would be this much response.

I do wish to clarify that the Two people I was addressing in the post was "Shorthair" and the person he was protecting A.K.A. "Human".

I was not addressing BinDerSmokDat. Please accept my apologies Mr. SmokeDat.

I don't know what planet you are from Shorthair but, protecting the "Human" is a noble thing and I commend you and your species for this.

Now, PLEASE - Go in Peace or anyway you wish - Just GO! Eek Big Grin Cool

I'm still waiting for an example of ONE hateful post I have made. Hmmmh, what's a matter all the noobs don't know how to use the search function?

You guys like to rail against me (a losing battle, when you are gone and forgotten in a few years I'll still be here, just like the noobs a few years ago who sounded alot like you guys do now) but I haven't seen any evidence.

It's all opinion and innuendo. And no all you noobs, "innuendo" is not Italian for suppository.
