First of all its House of Windsor Pipe Tobacco, I dont know how good their blends or quality of Tobak is. Second its got to be a sham because its in the T-catalog. Third its eight different blends of House of Windsor Tobacco and a Pipe pouch for $39.00. Fourth Is this a good deal and tobacco or is Thompsons once agian and once and for all full of $h!t? Big Grin Fifth and the last Question, if its a good deal should I buy it? All assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Razz Oh I lied, is Barking Dog worth a shot?? Later Wink

As this is a cigar forvm you might not get the answers that you are looking for.

I have come to the conclusion that the "T" catalog is worthless. Buying from them is a shot in the dark at best.

Check out better tobacconists such as www.holts.com or go to Petersons, a pipemaker and retailer.

Even J*R sells pipe tobacco and accessories (www.jrcigars.com)
When I smoked a pipe many years ago I liked to blend my own using Macbarrens Scottish blend, Macbarrens Latakia blend and some Macbarrens Burley. This had plenty of flavor and a medium finish.

Doc ***** Tobacco is a filthy weed, I like it...

stoge in my experience choosing tobacco isnt like choosing cigars.....I always like to try a new tobacco blend when it comes out and 95% of the time it sux......I have around 60 or so tins of tobacco that I've tried and hated......

Without ever having smoked some of the thompsons blends, theyre prolly heavily cased aromatics that will make you nauseus (sp) If you want to try a new bland get a tin of erinmore flake (yellow rectangle tin) rub it out a little and your good to go....The sample im grabbin for you this weekend is mainly all i ever smoke and is hands above most of the stuff on the market......also if u want to try and english blend try frog morton by mcelland.....

Go to pipes.org forum page and also tobaccoreviews.com. The T offer is about what you'd pay in a store.House of Windsor is a pretty good inexpensive brand. I've started into pipes myself a few months ago and trust me, if you think it's overwhelming wanting to try new cigars, wait'll you see all the choices in pipes and pipe tobaccos.
