Today is my brother's 24th birthday and he told me last night that all he wants from me is to have a cigar with me after dinner.

He really doesn't like strong cigars at all so I was wondering what mild cigars you can suggest for me to give him. I'll be heading to the B&M later.

If you don't mind spending the money, I've found the Diamond Crown line to be very good mild cigars.

any of the Padron 1000 series, they're all great mild cigars. Oliva serie G are great also. ( as an added bonus, both oliva and padron are about $3-5 per stick)

I would go with an Ashton Cabinet Series. Don't go ESG or VSG, as they are much more bold than he would probably enjoy.

Actually Macanudo is a mild smoke and great for a non-smoker.

A non-smoker will not appreciate a Davidoff or a Diamond Crown as the flavors are subtle.

If you really want to splurge get Macanudo VINTAGE and pair it was a nice glass of Hennessy XO

Another you might consider is a 5 vegas gold.

Nice mild smoke, not to expensive, this is provided you can get one in your area.

I'll third the suggestion for a Macanudo or Macanudo Vintage. In fact, the Macaundo Gold Label, if you can find it, is a great beginner's cigar. All three are simple, mild and easy for a noob to appreciate and enjoy -- just what the doctor ordered (literally, since that's what DocBarry suggested, too).

Some other suggestions along the same lines would be Ashton or Ashton Cabinet, Davidoff Classic or Thousand Series, Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real, Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta, CAO Gold, Fonseca or Fonseca Vintage, Reserva Real, Paul Garmirian, Butera, Pleaides, Temple Hall Estates, Avo (regular line), The Griffin's (not Griffin's Fuerte), Playboy by Don Diego or even a regular Don Diego, Leon Jimemez, La Unica, Montesino, Rocky Patel Edge Lite or Vintage 1999, maybe even an Arturo Fuente Double Chateau (but make sure it has the 'natural' Connecticut Shade wrapper).

Any of those should do the trick and they all range between $5 - $15 so there's something for whatever price range you decide to go with).

Enjoy!

I would go with methig from the Fuente Opus X line. Top of the line cigar from the Fuente family, large and distinguished cgar band he may want to keep from the occaion. Whatever you pick is sure to be a hit as it will be time well spent with a family member. Good luck pass on our best wishes.

So..... which one did you pick???

Hopefully not the JDN Antano...

Speaking of, I wonder if any of these times somebody actually did buy the JDN Antano when we suggest it. I certainly hope not, or maybe I do.

I just like cigars, is that ok?

Not being a big fan of cigars, he decided to go the flavored route and got a CAO Moontrance. I also bought one for his friend, who shared the same birthday. I also gave out a couple moocher cigars to a few other people at the house, while I enjoyed a RP Edge.

Being the only regular cigar smoker at the party, I was horrified when they all turned down my cutter, and decided to mangle the caps with either their teeth or pocket knives.

LMAO

that's because they know what to do with the cutter and didn't want to look stupid so they killed the cigars.

As AFSteve said none of my friends would live to tell that story.
