I like to think I'm a pretty generous guy. So whenever I'm headed to some dinner or party or whatever I'll usually bring a few extra sticks for my buddies that I know will have a cigar every now and then.
Before, I'd just go to the B&M and grab some Punch Rothschilds. But not that I have a coolerdor I think I may be leaning to the idea of keeping a couple of bundles on hand to incorporate into my daily smoke rotation as well has hand outs. Right now I think I may be going with some Flor de Olivas.
What do you guys usually hand out to your non-smoking or occasional cigar smoking buddies?

I usually hand out some Fuente Flor-Fina 8-5-8 maduros or Padron thousand series for folks that rarely smoke. I keep a couple of boxes on hand, just in case.
I'm extremely generous. If I'm smoking Opus X, your smoking Opus X. If I have two of something your getting one. My wife dissagrees. I have purchased bundles for parties. Usualy Flor D Oliva. Thats for groups. If its just the two or three of us, you smoke what I smoke.
5 Vegas Series A - it's one of my favorite medium-bodied smokes, very reasonably priced, and is not something that a casual smoker will ordinarily see.

For a person who doesn't normally smoke cigars, my hand out stick is a Rocky Patel V1990 Torpedo. I always have a bunch on hand. For my usual smoking buddies who for some reason didn't bring there own smoke, or brought one for trade, I let them take their pick out of my humi...

I too like to think of myself as a generous person and usually go with the policy that my guests smoke what I smoke.
Having said that, I cringe a little inside when I've given a good/premium stick and the person stubs it out after smoking only a fraction of it.
I guess the discriminator for me is whether or not the person is a friend or if they have just wandered into the group (at a party for example).

I take 4, maximum 5 cigars with me: two in my cigar pouch and the rest in tubes. What's in tube is not necessarily what it says on the tube - just has to fit well. That's the number that comfortably fits in any inner pocket. All are different strength and size, because tastes differ. If it's a dinner party, the churchill or larger size full-body one (or two) is mine. Normally it's enough since not many people who I hang out with share my enjoyment of cigars. Sometimes I even end up bringing one of the stogies back home.
I used to hand out whatever I was smoking but this summer I gave my brother inlaw a PSD4 Afer smoking it he told me how mutch better the Torano 1959 Torp I gave him the night before was

I smoke almost exclusively Cuban. If a wannabe asks why he or she got a NC, instead of what I have, I just tell him or her that when they learn about cigars, and come to enjoy them, they too will enjoy one of my contriband.

If it's someone who will really appreciate the same thing I'm smoking, they get what I get, unless what I'm smoking is too heavy for their tastes, and then they get something lighter, but equally good.
The group of guys I play cards with are "smoke 'em partway and stub 'em out" smokers. After a couple of nights of seeing good smokes get wasted that way, I started bringing them JLPs or Partagas Shorts. I explained why, and they're fine with that
If they are cigar smokers they get what I smoke. If I don't think that they would enjoy a real cigar, JLP brevas, or some of the NC's just to get rid of them. I have had these NC's laying around for years, these include CAO Brazilia Lambada, LGC CG's, Punch DC's and Torano 1916 Cameroons.

Whatever I've got, even for new cigar smokers. Recently, I was up in Canada and all I had were Mag 46s and some Lusis-- the newbies loved them.
I bet they did! I also stick with the you-can-smoke-what-I'm-smokin' policy. It is always nice to compare their opinion although I would cringe watching them stub out a quality stick too!
If it's just 1 or 2 people and they're familiar with cigars, I just open my humidor up and tell them to pick one. If not familiar, I'll usually pick one for them and explain why...usualy because it will be one of mild strength so as not to cause them to lose a lung, but something they will enjoy. Have not had to hand out to a large group yet, but probably a Padron Ambassador or RP Edge Lite.

Thats my pet hate right there.
I have a friend that loves his red wine and I offered him a Boli Junior, he insisted that he wanted to smoke a cigar "like they have on the movies, you know those big ones!" Now he has a record of not finishing his cigars and I made the comparison of him opening a bottle of his Penfolds Grange, pouring me a big glass of it and me tipping it out after a mouth full.
He now understands...

I have a few freinds who like cigars but my best friend insists he only likes Backwoods Wild Rum. So I wouldnt give him one of the sticks that I bought for the first time or some of my favorites. I'll give him something cheap but if its someone who knows cigars and would truly enjoy it I would let them have pretty much whatever they asked for
