Does anyone have any experience with the "Cigar Oasis"? I just bought one under the recommendation of a cigar shop. Does it work as well as the ads state?

Wasted time is not wasted, if you enjoy wasting it!

I have one in a 150 ct. desktop and it works very well.

Here in the Northeast it gets very dry in the winter and those little foam humidifiers just don't do it.

The element can be refilled with distilled water when necessary. Do not use Propylene Glycol in the cigar oasis

Ditto, the unit works well. I keep it in the bottom of a 200 ct glass-top, so I can check humidity now and then without opening the humi everyday. Don't put cigars right by the fan output slot.

I use a Cigar Oasis Plus unit in a 300 count humidor. It's really too powerful, and in retrospect, I would have been better off getting the regular Cigar Oasis.

I am pleased with the unit all year, except during the winter. We do not get snow, and not a huge amount of rain. Yet the outside humidity is high.

And, someone correct me if I am wrong, however it has not been my experience that the Cigar Oasis units are helpful in situations where there is too much humidity. I should probably switch over to the beads.
