Do you honestly believe that's what he meant?
No, I don't. I thought that's what I said in the previous sentence of my post.

from Pangea: Questioner: That’d be fine with me as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. Then it’s fine with me.
But if he means continuing the Iraq status quo for another 100 years, then I certainly do. We're entitled to ask the Senator for clarification.
You posted this but didn't read it?
You answered your own question.
I didn't post it as a question, I posted it because it puts Sen. McCain's 100-year comment in context, and I thought maybe a lot of guys hadn't read it before. But I also wanted to make the point that our current presence in Japan and South Korea isn't analogous to what we're doing in Iraq.

Please add something to the thread or refrain from posting. It is quite apparent you have little knowledge of the topic being discussed. Your only contributions are unsubstantiated attacks on President Bush and Republicans. Please do some research and then feel free to post. Thank you.

Really, you add nothing.

No, actually you are lacking. BTW, at least we have the common sense to know that you're suppose to post below the quote. Here are some more examples of your vast vocabulary...

AMEN brother. Sounds like he would rather listen to a right wing talk show to tell him what he thinks. It's so much easier!
and here...
quote:
Yes that's right. But here, we have a Republican party that takes advantage of lazy minded people and uses them to divide the country. Isn't it just amazing, that STILL, after the last 7 years that these ditto heads are still blindly following their BS?
and here...

I want to do this as discrete as possible. I want to check out a source. Has anyone ever used - ccC?
What a huge pool of intellect you seem to draw from...

WOW, talk about ignorance... or is it just lazyness? Science can document thousands of years of historical data through glacier samples and other means. The thermometer and a pencil and pad is the conservative way I guess.
Then there is the endless pool of names that you call all conservatives...

Sometimes your even creative with it...

BTW-might want to learn how to spell ridiculous before calling someone ridiculous, just a thought. I figure condescension should at least require appropriate spelling. Maybe now we know why you are a democrat.

Just curious, but why would you make a statement like that?
I'm not falling for the same package of lies anymore. They promise lower taxes(you can argue the rebates, but every other tax has gone up), smaller government(never happens), balanced budgets(twice in all their history), and the crusade to stop abortion(in which they've made so little headway they should be ashamed). Not to mention their blatant support of the wealthiest people(and damn the rest of us)and dispicable skew of foriegn policy. They hand you the same list of "promises" every four years, and once they're in office, they could care less about keeping them. All they really do is make themselves and their associates richer. This is very easy to substantiate. Look at who's making all the money off Iraq.

All politicians promise these things, with the exception of stopping abortion/smaller government. Politicians lie. I definately share the same frustration and McCain was definately not my first choice. Welcome to the United States circa 2008.

OK, so the better alternative is Democrats that are promising higher taxes and bigger Government? I don't see your logic.

Politicians can only lay out their wish list when running for election. They state what they would like to see happen under their term and with those goals in hand they are elected. Once in the political arena the infighting and deal making that is necessary to get legislation passed waters down any original plan that was initiated.
Anyone that doesn't understand this aspect of politics is suffering under a Pollyanna delusion.

They had an electoral majority long enough to have accomplished SOMETHING.

If I'm getting higher taxes and bigger government anyway(and I apparently am) I like their position on a lot of issues better.

Income taxes were lowered under GW and two pro-life conservatives were nominated to the Supreme Court. This contradicts two of your points.

Few things done by a President are more important and carry as much weight as nominating Supreme Court Judges. In this case, two have been added, Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito. It seems that you really know little of what has been accomplished or maybe just little about anything political.

Why is it automaticly that if someone doesn't agree with you people they "know little"? Congratulations on being a bunch of arrogant pricks. Don't worry you've silenced my point of view. Go claim your victory.

You don't have to get upset if someone proves your claims to be false. It's called debate. Sometimes you are going to be proven wrong.

The only thing you've proven is that if I don't agree with your views, I should be belittled.

You are the one saying that this administration has had zero accomplishments, you are the one making the argument. When people offer evidence to refute your claim, you take your ball and go home? Are you sure you aren't a liberal?
