I wondering what is the usual range of cigar ring gauges being smoked by the aficionados on this forum.

Do you normally stick with a particular ring size or do your tastes run the gamut?

Specifically, what is the smallest and largest ring gauge you smoke on a routine basis?

For me, my tastes tend to run from 40 to 54.

I prefer between 42 and about 52, Corona Gorda is my favorite vitola at 5 5/8 x 46

I prefer cigars with no larger ring gauge than 50, i tend to like gauges in the 40's the best. Above 50 is just to big for my tastes most of the time.

50 or right around there, up or down a little.......

I really do not have any preference for ring gauge, as well as length, for that matter. As long as I like the taste and have no burn/draw issues. I have enjoyed sticks as small as 24 and as large as 57 (Salomones Cuban vitola de galera) ring gauge .
I should say though I probably smoked more Churchills (Julieta No. 2 for Cubans 7"x47, and around that for many NCs) and Robustos (4 7/8" x 50 for Cubans and around that for NCs) than anything else, but I guess only because they are so popular and widely available vitolas.

48-52 with 50 being my favorite

For very strong cigars I like something in a Corona size. Corona's can run from 42 to 45, with 46 being ideal for me. Most of the time I smoke Robustos and Toros which can run from 48 to 52, 50 being my personal preference.

No real preference though very little below 40 (Por Larranaga Montecarlos and ERDM Demi Tasse being exceptions) and nothing over 54. Having said that, I wouldn't say no to the odd Diadema if I could afford them.

I prefer my cigars around a 50 ring gauge.

For me, it depends on how much time I have. I don't go so much by ring guage so much as how long it takes to smoke.

My favorite is the 7 x 47 churchill, if I have time.

If time is an issue, then I tend to rotate between robustos, lonsdales and coronas. (I do find that I'm buying more coronas and lonsdales than robustos).

If time's really short, then I go to petit coronas and small figurados like the Short Story...

40-50 mostly. I particularly enjoy the classic 42 gauge ccs from tpcs to lonsdales. + had a truly excellent LGC m d'or #3 the other day. 175mm by 28 ring gauge!

... So I guess pretty much all gauges are good for me.

Most often, 46-52, consisting of corona gordas - churchills - DCs - robustos - double robustos -No. 2s. I almost never smoke anything 52+, but will occasionally enjoy a 42.

My preferred size is Robustos - so around a 50 ring guage.

I usualy stick between 44 and 54. However, the 54 is a topedo so don't know what the true RG is since I'm not cutting it in the center. Most of my cigars are around 50.

I prefer a Churchill size, but have smoked everything from demitasse to inmensa (60 ring)

50 to 54 ring gauge when I want a really good long smoke. Otherwise I grab a 40 to 46 for quick smoke.

anything from a 40 to a 52.... depending on my mood, and available time...

42-52, with my favorite being robusto. I'd like to try more lancero's though
