A very rare Saturday off for me. I took the entire week just because I deserve it.

After breakfast I was out in the back yard sucking leaves into my Black & Decker Leaf Hog. Those wet leaves can really get heavy quickly. Finally went in to the den for a cup of coffee and a SUNGROWN CHATEAU FUENTE.

As I am off today and only the front yard left to vacuum I guess I will be puffing on another cigar this afternoon before my Saturday Night Special.

Welcome home Doc....

Back by request:

Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"

Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"

It’s a beautiful fall day here in CT. No smokes till later in the day today…doing some shopping with the wife and going out for lunch. I hear a AF Don Carlos calling me. I have a bottle of Lagavulin 16-year Single Islay Malt that I want to open to go along with the smoke.

Welcome back Doc and have a great day everyone!

Cool day here in CT. Started the day off with a La Gloria Cubana Series E maduro. Nice even burn and good smoke volume. I smoked it down to the end and never hot or harsh. Woody flavor.

Not sure what I'm going to have on the drive home today after work.

Either a Davidoff 4000
Opus X
Or a Cohiba CC form a glass topped box.

Any thoughts? Personally I'm leaning towards the Daividoff or the Cohiba. I want to save the opus X, but then again I want to try one since I hear how everyone loves them so.

No leaves here, but we are having our first rain since Labor Day. So, I'll don my slicker (remember that word, Doc?) and head out to town with a PSP2.

This evening as every Saturday evening I find myself in the den with an Opus Super Belicoso, a Tanqueray martini with the obligate 4 queen olives and a plate of pepperoni, sausage and cheese.

Have a great Saturday night.

As it turned out, the Edmundo did not have my name all over it...

I opted for an Upmann Mag 46 instead, outside watching it snow flurry somewhat...now off to work...uuugggghhhh!

Tatuaje Taino

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

Having me first Oliva Series V Figurado i believe while watching the Devil game. Very tight draw almost to the point where you couldn't get anything out of it but it lossened up real nice. Not an overpowering smoke but just nice smooth taste. Very nice smoke.
