The greatest hockey franchise in the world is set for the run at the cup. I'm saving a special cigar incase that great celebration becomes a reality. GO HABS GO.
eWhat's really unusual is that I've never seen so many cars driving around with a Canadiens flag stuck in their windows. It's like a friggin' epidemic up here.
For once -- since a real long time-- they MAY have an actual chance of winning the cup. An occasion to live up to their history of the greatest hockey team ever.

My Avs might even have a chance this year. Although I haven't actively cheered for them for the past few years. I'm holding out for a Canadian team to take the cup home.

Easier said then done. May I remind you that the Canadiens won the most Stanley Cups (24), way ahead of it's closest competitor, the Leafs (13). In fact, the Canadiens are the 3rd most glorious team of all professional sports in North-America with 25,3% of championship victories, only behind the Celtics (26,7%) and the Yankees (25,5%).
Long live the Flying Frenchmen. Still 3-1 as we "speak"...

And past results somehow mean they have a better chance winning this year how? This year and last year, the West has been better than the East.
The Wings, Sharks, or whatever team it is will demolish the team from the East.
I actually think it's easier done than said .

Don't count the Bruins out yet - it's a LONG series

So? What does their amazing 24 cups have to do with this year. The NHL is totally different from 4 years ago nevermind 30 years ago.

You heard it here first. They won't win. In fact, I would put about a grand on it.

The Red Wings will have to get by a more physical Preds team and although I love the Sharks in the West the Flames are historicly dragon slayers. There is always a surprise team. Hockey is funny that way. If a goalie gets hot, watchout. The Caps are a very good team also with their all around can do it all superstar Ovechkin.

Indeed, but the nature of being a fan and supporter is to believe you can win, against all odds. Haven't you seen any Disney movies? Anyway, I'd rather root for an underdog than a shoo-in.
Go Habs go !

Wait, how can you call a number 1 an underdog? I think the West will probably win, but I wouldn't be shocked if Montreal made a run. In my opinion, an underdog must be a team which nobody expects to do well. I think more than a few people expect Montreal to do well.
The Predators, Bruins, Senators, and Flames are underdogs.
Well,if you can call Montreal an underdog,I can call the Wings an underdog. Therefore, I like to root for the underdog too, so I'll pick the Red Wings to win.

Because, in the past years, they were merely a shadow of themselves, not going in the right direction at all... and now, seemingly out of nowhere, they rise to the challenge.
I mean, they Zambonied the ice with the Bruins yesterday.
