What is most commonly done about the dark-foul-sour after-taste that usually follows a cigar?
I have tried different beverages (libations!) with them, and that seems to REDUCE, but not ELIMINATE such after-taste.
I have also tried not consuming the entire cigar; letting it dwindle somewhere beyond the half-way point so as not to go done to the literally "bitter end."
Sorry, but the aftertaste of a good cigar is one of my favorite parts of smoking.. I love it when I have had a really good one, and 3 hours later can still taste it.
So I've got to go with the other guys - Smoke better cigars!

If you smoke a good cigar, the last third of the cigar will taste "clean". If aftertaste still bothers you, there are cigar mints you can get at your local B&M.
Are your cigars being stored properly.I find wet cigars leave a sour after taste. Also cigars stored to tightly that do not get any air.Ammonia has a tendency to make a cigar taste sour as well.
