I wiki'ed Guantanamera after reading the "Guantanamera cigars" thread in the non-Cuban section. What I found was that this is actually the popular song we hear all around the world. I know they play this all the time on a popular Taiwanese TV show where I first heard the song. Now I finally know the name of it!
Haha, it's funny you just found that out! I heard it since I was child. And I hear it now and then atany cigar event or at any place related to Cuba. Guan--ta-na-mera, gua-ji-ra, Guan--ta-na-mera...
Maan, why did I read this post?! Now I won't be able to pull this song out of my head for the rest of the day

Hahaha, exactly.
Yeah, it's crazy, I never knew the name or the exact lyrics of the song! Even asked two Mexican friends and my gf whose parent's are from Mexico and do speak Spanish. None of them knew the song. It's my fault grouping all the Latin countries as one. But seriously, if they've heard of it in Taiwan, how does my Mexican friends not know!?
