Since my teenage son is in the middle of taking all of the standardized tests required for college (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.), I thought it appropriate to initiate the Cigar Aficionado Test (or "CAT")as a way of quickly and arbitrarily testing the knowledge of the visitors to this forum in much the same way that standardized tests quickly and arbitrarily test the knowledge of high school juniors. I am not taking "ownership" of this thread. Anyone should feel free to start his or her own thread with a different question. Today's question is:
PFC Lynndie England can best be described as:
(a) a disgrace to her uniform.
(b) a good soldier who was just following orders (BWAAHAAHAA!).
Until we start taking off the heads of prisoners then i dont see no stinking abuse.

Yea, they got local coverage here about her trial at Ft Hood. Guess what, she was NEVER part of the prisoner security/jailer team. She was a clerk at the prison. She was invovled in the incidents because her boyfriend (at the time) suggested it!!

Do you really think we're getting the full story about Abu Ghraib? Do you really think all of that was contrived by a bunch of enlisted soldiers with weird perversions?
That whole thing reeks of CIA involvement. England and her crew are a bunch of sacrifical lambs. No question.

Hmmmm, following orders? I don't think so. At least not a lawful order. A disgrace to the uniform? Not really. Given the circumstances what she did wasn't all that outragious. Skank? Probably won't find much debate with that one.
What she and others did was certainly wrong, but no where worth the outcry it's received. As another poster said, they're taking off heads over there. There's no comparison to the two, yet our country has an image to clean up in the press because an enemy was humiliated.
She was following orders from people smart enough to know how to stay clean. She isn't the brightest bulb in the pack and was set up to take the fall if this ever came out (like it did). This whole thing smells dirty.
