What's your favorite brandy with a good cigar? I'm looking for recommendations for a good brandy.

I'm not a huge brandy fan, but Remy Martin VSOP is a decent starting point.


So many cigars, so little time...

For something very good that is a change of pace from the standards, try Cardenal Mendoza Spanish brandy.

I agree with Cardenal Mendoza. Another Spanish Brandy that is very good is Felipe Segundo.

Not much of a Brandy guy but I used to be into Cognac and Armagnac.

I find Cognac and Armagnac (both Brandies) a bit acidic and acrid.

I personally would recommend a single Islay malt scotch such as this one. This is my personal favorite. Once you try it, your hooked for life.

I too am not much into brandy but I enjoy cognac. hennessy VSOP or XO, Remy Martin VSOP and Corvoiser 5 star are some of my favorites.

You may want to check out this thread as well. A couple of more recommendations in the last posts.
Cognac and Armagnac are brandies too, but coming only from namesake regions in France. There is also Calvados, but it's made of apples and pears, not grapes.

I'm not a Brandy person either. I really enjoy Jack Daniel's Single Barrel though.

Yea, Eric- I also have a spot reserved for Jack on my shelf. I keep Knob Creek, Jack, Crown, Captain Gold, Captain Private Stock and Bombay London in stock at all times.
