Now I know that Digital Demon has probably already got one of these, but really who in the heck is so much of a techy that this is something you really gotta have...you won't catch me dead with one of these Big Grin but...if dell would put a cigar cutter on my keyboard, now that would be a great invention Wink

I think it would be better, and more useful, if they put a usb memory stick on it rather than the flash stick. Flash card readers are not standard equipment on PC's but usb ports are. A good idea, but poorly implemented IMO.

The M-stick lighter has a suggested retail of $125. (A 128-MB memory stick retails for about $40 at computer stores and Colibri lighters start at approximately $40.) The stick is compatible with Windows ME and Mac 8.2. The lighter is compatible with all cigars

Article dates October 10, 2005.
1. 128mb memory stick you can buy for around $16.00, not $40.00.
2. Nobody's using Windows ME for a long time
3. I don’t think anybody remembers Mac 8.2
4. I wonder who came out with idea to combine Lighter and Memory stick.
This is stupid, useless idea IMHO Smile

128 mb is waste....If they want to sell stuff like that they need to make it worth it. I picked up a 2Gig memorex travel drive for $119 after rebates and it fits on my keychain.

HA! That's too cool. When they say compatible with Windows ME, they really mean compatible as far back as Windows ME (which includes Windows 9x). Now they need to make a lighter intergrated with an Ipod Shuffle Big Grin

Gum in a pack of baseball cards, toys in cereal boxes, porn at the sperm bank - all these things make sense because they go together. I'm puzzled about this combo. I wonder if Colibri would consider adding a Pezz dispenser to their Quantum line?

This seems like a good concept but maybe to little to late. I just picked up 2 Memory Keys that are 1gig for $112 and a new lighter for $45. I would rather carry these two than this, but i may get one, we will see.

Also, it does suck that you can hold the codes to the bombs of the world, or just your documents, but you cant take it on the plane.

This is very similiar to the Oakley Thump concept. I worked for Oakley when they first put this concept on Lance Armstrong and it sounded crazy. But when all was said and done, they had a 128mb and a 256mb product. Come on. Even now, they only have a 256 and a 512, yet the newest technology doubles the memory space yet keeps the same physical size.

This product will be cool, but not an everyday piece.

COLIBRI- RE THINK IT!!!
