Hey Everybody. I recently received some samplers of the 2001 and 2003 ELs, but my only problem is that they don't appear to be the real thing. I have never smoked any ELs of any sort before this, so I can't compare them to the real thing. I was hoping that, from time to time, I might be able to post up here asking for a flavor profile on some of these sticks. I plan on smoking one, then posting my experience with them and hoping that some of you guys can tell me your experience with the stick so I might be able to compare it to what I had. If you guys will be willing to help me out here, I would appreciate it greatly!

Thanks in advance,
Eddie

Why is your opinion that they don't appear real since you have never had one?

Post away when you're ready, sky. I'm sure you'll get some responses.

Viper, I feel that they are fake because most of them do not look like maduros. If I were to put them next to some of my other Cubans, most of them appear to look only a little bit darker. Also, the bands are loose and the cigars feel spongy.

I recently got some PSD1 EL. They are a honey brown, not a near black like my PSD3 EL. The PSD1 EL do look like what is pictured on the Habanos website. http://www.habanos.com/elimitada2004.asp They may not be what you expected, but they may be real.

I wouldn't fret. I've got 2 PSD3s from the same vendor (which is no doubt, 100% legit) that have 2 completely different color wrappers. Remember, they are a product of Cuba and stranger things have happened.

Don't judge before smoking. Try one and judge for yourself!

good advice SuperT. I should not have jumped to any conclusions. Even though I have a hunch, it's still just a hunch. Like I said, I'll smoke them and then let you guys know and you can tell me your experiences.

You know, It's great to know that I can rely on such great people to help out when somebody else has a problem.
