A friend of mine gave me 4 Cohibas as a gift for my birthday and I want to know whether they're real or not. I worked my way through those sites comparing fakes but didn't get a 100% result. So here are some pics:
The bands look poorly cut with bleeding ink when magnified, and the Habana Cuba font is too thick. Normal Cohiba bands are perfect, even when magnified.
These look like Siglo V's and VI's. All my Siglo V's and VI's are natural wrapper and not as dark as your cigars. I have not seen any Siglo V's or VI's looking this dark.
Kind of odd that 2 of the cigars are longer, yet they appear to have the same thickness. I just put my V and V1 side by side and they are very different looking cigars.
I would say these are suspect. Smoke one and you will know.
Do you know where your friend got them? How do the cigars smell? Do you have other CC to compare them to?

Unless the bands look incredibly fake, it's hard to tell based only on appearance. The only real way to know whether you have fakes or not is to smoke one and see.

I don't know where he got them from, I only know that he has 20 more of each length in his humidor.
The size also would make me say they are Siglo V & VI's and also the thickness (the short ones are thicker) fits to the specs I found on the internet. The color is not that dark in person, I didnt have good sunlight to photograph.
The problem with smoking one is that I'm no experienced aficionado yet and I have no comparison in taste. yet.

Don't worry about that. If you have smoked any cigars these will either be the best cigars you have ever had with a flavor you have never experienced before or they will be crap.

Threw my eyes they look fairly fake. In one of the pictures there is a sizable white gap at the bottom of the band. Also i concur with what steve said.
But I ran threw this problem a while ago with some cigars I had. If i would have just smoked one, there would have been no need to question...
As Steve said the font does look thick. The wrappers are dark but i have seen these color wrappers on the Anniversary series cigars. Best way to tell is smoke them let us know what you think. Good Luck.

I sometimes think posting the pics are not helpful on this forum since if they look as good as the ones you have, which to me look fine, will get alot of negative comments.
I don't see any issues. Smoke one and then you will know for sure.

Like cigar-monkey said - if you experience a whole new flavor when you smoke it, you've probably got the real thing. A fake will pretty much taste like a roll of cardboard. If you haven't had a Cohiba before, which it sounds like you haven't - there's no mistaking the experience of smoking one from a fake. When you do smoke one, though, just sit down for a cigar. Don't get in the mindset that "these are fake," or "OMG I'm having my first real Cohiba!!" Either one may cloud your judgment on the experience. If you still don't know after you've smoked one - send the balance to me and I'll be happy to give you the "real or not" call.
I think they look fine. The only issue I have (and it may be my eyes failing me) is that I can't see a triple-cap on one of the smokes. It's the back/bottom one that interests me in that regard.

I just looked at these again... and that is worthy observation you made there. That alarms me more than any other feature about these cigars.
