Good stuff Ron! Where did you get those white bands? I only know a place that sells them in 500 or 1000 packs.

I like how meticulous you are about organizing and dating these babies. Your humidor is the dream home of every cigar that has left his place of birth of and upbringing Big Grin

I have smoked about half a dozen of those.. and realy liked them... a really good robusto-like. non blind rating of 91.. and will definitely improve in a matter of 1 or 2 years...

So I should probably save the 4 I have left of the 5er I got? Traded one for a Boli Libertadore, are those good right now or wait on that one too??

I was asking what the benefit was from keeping your cigars in a fridge like that.

My mom was joking the other night that I should keep my new box oc Cohiba Siglio II in the fridge. I guess she wasn't too far off. Would any wine fridge work?

oups.... sorry for the threadjack.....

back to the topic now...

how many wine cellars are you running ?? and I assume since you have all this wood in the shelves, you haven't bother lining the inside with cedar ??

Welp. i had some small humidors around the house, and they werent holding consistent RH at all.. So i decided to try one of these Wine Coolers.. It seals airtight, so it holds humidity well.. Temp is constant @ 63 (i can manually control it through the cooler) and the RH% stays at 69-70 at all times.. best investment i ever made..

Salibas, to answer yer question, im only using one cooler. i didnt line it with cedar because i planned on adding the cedar treys and cigar boxes.

i tell ya what. i get a Semi when i crack the cooler open after like 5 days. It has such a fabulous mixed odor of tobacco and cedaqr.. its breathtaking, hehe

BigRons,

May I ask what brand you bought? Or would any wine cooler work? I saw one at Target for cheap the other day.

The Brand was an Urbina Design.. Not the best brand, but they were on sale for $70 shipped, it was a phenomonal deal.

Any brand will do. just make sure its a Thermo-Electric Cooled cooler. Most standard "small refridgerators" arent Thermoelectric.. Most Wine Coolers are, but be sure to double check

Im wondering why your cigars are marked with white bands? Do you easily forget things? They already have bands on them, so how could you not remember? Also, why dont you leave them in their boxes? That way you could know box codes and dates. hmm, very odd.

I know of a few different people that put the dates and box codes on those white bands for storage...and they don't keep them in the box because they don't have enough storage room for complete boxes.

wow, we have a brain surgeon on our hands..

(and btw, this was discussed on the first page, try reading it, lol) The bands are for the box code, and date.. Did it ever occur to you that i dont have the boxes? you manage your humidor your way and ill do mine my way...

Whats "odd" is your lack of comprehension
