Hey everyone I’m a noobie both to the forums and the great world of cigars. I’m going to a trip to Cuba and I was wondering what I should smoke while I’m there. This trip is a study abroad and missionary thing I’m doing. I’m almost positive you can guess the real reason I’m going. I wanna smoke them in their home country and try to line up a few more sources. One of mine got axed just recently Mad. So what should I smoke while I’m there.

Everything...as long as it's from an official store. Know before you go that everyone everywhere is on the hustle and you will be offered cigars at special deal prices from everyone...waiters, hotel clerks, chambermaids, doormen, taxi drivers, bus drivers, tour guides, anyone and everyone you pass on the street, EVERYONE. To help the people out with respect to their dire circumstances, buy cigars from them...but don't think that what you'll get is going to be representative of what you get from the factories. They may look good, and yes...they ARE Cuban cigars. However, if you want to smoke the thing for which Cuba is famous, buy at the stores. The prices they offer will be attractive. But do not be fooled. And once again, indulge the offers knowing that you're helping people out.

You can smoke whatever you want, hell, your in Cuba. Make sure you buy from the offical stores only like Partagas, R&J, H.Upmann and others. If you buy on the street you'll be getting 100% fakes. Your not going to get any sources in Cuba for cigars since they do not ship to US, so just go have a good time and smoke whatever you like and find at the stores....

Thicker cigars are in general better than thinner cigars. Monte Cristos, RomeoyJuliet, Cohiba are well known by everyone. Bolivar & Partagas are cigar smoker favourites. Many other makes.

MasterCard and Visa cards work if they are Canadian or European bank supported They don't work if they are drawn on USA banks.Ditto for American Express. This is not because of Cuban law it is because of USA law.

La Casa del Habano is a good cigar store.
Just look up the locations in Cuba.

You can get cigars delivered to you in Cuba (or very close to you) using the Caracol SA chain.Just look up the closest delivery point and order.

Quality does not occur by chance. It is the result of intelligent activities.
