Smoked this cigar last night after a great outing with some friends in the states. This is the third one i have smoked out of an 07 box. I have to say they are getting better and better. This one was an absolutely quintessential cigar loaded with an abundance of flavor and character please read on.

Construction was flawless no veins smooth silky oily Colorado brown wrapper. A lot of aroma escaping the foot of this cigar told me i was in for a treat. Snipped the head the draw was a bit tight, this would soon change. The pre draw aroma minded me of hickory nuts and fresh cut grass and honey. I toasted and lit the foot off we go.

1st third was really powerful smooth thick chewy smoke, with a sweet nutty vanilla caramel taste.

2nd third was peppery like a Cohiba robusto the cigar still remained sweet the vanilla and caramel tastes had gone and opened up a new door for loads of coffee and spice. The draw had now really opened up and i had to relax my puffing as smoke was more than plentiful.

Last third and this was my favorite third of this cigar. Was a delectable smooth melding of all of the flavors i had experienced throughout the cigar. So sublime and flavorful it reminded me of a cigar with much more age on it. I shall smoke one of these for special occasions and try to hold on to them for at least another couple of years. IMHO aging such an already impeccable cigar past this point would serve no useful purpose. If i had to put a number on this cigar i would say 95/100. That's because i haven't smoked the whole box yet and there might be a better one in there.
Ciao

Great review sheep. I had a box from 1996 and they were sublime. Really sad to have smoked the last one back in 2003. I still have a few of the old style Cohiba bands and they are quite nice.

Enjoy your box.

Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.

nice review SB. glad you gave some attention to a fine Dalia.

like the party 898 and the boli inmensas, the cohiba sig V is likely to benefit from long term aging.

im thinking about putting down another box of cohiba sig VI for long-term storage, but i might have to change my mind now. thanks.

cheers

Thanks for the great review. I have a box of '01's and they are phenomenal, even though they are cb.

They should get better & better. Smoking a Siglo V before 3-5 years of age is a shame.

I tell you Bassman they have 2 years on them already they are so smooth and complex. I can hardly stay away from them.I shall try to hold on to at least 10 of them for the amount of time you have suggested. Thanks for the input.
