Hello again,

I've been reading and learning from those here for a while.

You may remember a previous thread where I posted that a shipment of my cigars was stopped in customs, but released. Two cigars ended up missing and the box had "happy holidays" written on it.

The smokes were great, so I'm thankful for what I got.

I have been waiting for a new humidor to arrive. Its an Aristocrat Plus in Walnut and I'm excited about filling it up. It will be here this week.

Since my last experience, I've been busy researching other sources.

So, here is my question(s) and I hope its not inappropriate....

In choosing a source, what are the most important areas.

Certainly, someone who has authentic merchandise of quality is a must, but I'm interested in actually receiving the shipment.

How important is someone who guarantees delivery? Does it matter if the bands are left on? What is the best shipping method? (Premium carriers have electronic interfaces with customs which may set flags)

I'm thinking that these things are more important than price?

Again, I'm not asking for a source, just maybe some reasonable questions that I could ask the ones I have...

Maybe the best thing to do is just get my feet wet again, but after last time, I thought I'd be smarter...

Thanks for the help and for the information I've received from you thus far.

I'm looking forward to slowly but surely adding Cubans to my new toy.

Jack

Order from a source that garantees your package to be delivered and in tact. You want them to send them in the box with bands on.

What I did is made contact with my source even before I placed an order. Ask them all your questions. IF you dont get a response in 48hrs then the source may not be great. It could be just that they may take a while to answer but from talkign to a few others on the forum about this most great sources will answer you in 24hrs. This helps you get an idea of the people you are dealing with before you spend any money or risk confiscation by customes. Hope this helps some!
