The office of foreign asset control of the US Treasury issued a ruling last year saying that it was also illegal to obtain or use any Cuban product in the US or in any other country. I have no idea how they could enforce this....but it made this ruling. May be I can dig it up or something.

The winner is davel1, who wrote:

I'll take a wild guess and say that it'll be a large, new format - something like 7 1/4 x 52.

He was closer than anynoe else, nailing the ring gauge of 52 and missing the length by only 1/4 inch.

Scroll up and see James Suckling's comment about the winner.

Congratulations.

Also, this contest sent to light a lot of new posters. I believe this is good news for CA forum.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

I have noticed a lot of cigar companies getting on the "box pressed" band wagon. So my guess is that it is going to be a cigar that is box pressed and probably maduro.

Umm, just my $.02, but davel1 should win the Close but no Cigar prize, pun totally intended. Smile

Seems to me that TRoc nailed the size on Feb 24, more than a day before davel1, see page 4 of this topic.

Sorry, davel1, I have no dog in this fight, just looking out for fairness.

Unless something disqualifies TRoc...
Anyways, it'd be cool to see a response from the Admin or someone.

He guessed torpedo--the cigar isn't shaped. It's a parejo. But he did get the length and ring gauge correct.
