Tom, that's not correct! Technically, the embargo (Trading with the Enemy Act, or TWEA) prohibits that acquisition of items of Cuban origin by US Citizens...period. It's not about smuggling them in; it's not about buying them in the US. The violation is the acquisition of such products, wherever situated, and/or the expenditure of funds on such items. At issue is an economic embargo...smuggling is another issue.

Close but no cigar?

that is crazy, im american too. Well its like a tree that falls in a forest when there is nobody there. Does it really happen. See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil. Thats what i got to say. I love cubans but in my opinion there isn't as big as a difference in quality of smoke with non-cubans to cubans. I still say the 40th is going to be 6x60 and i was the first to give that exact measurement so i hope it is.

There you have it...quality is virtually identical between Cubans and Non-Cubans.

Indeed, enforcement of the laws with respect to violators is quite different than the law in and of itself.

Enjoy that 6 x 60!

Ok... so the weakest guess falls here. Since I haven't seen it so far (and probably for very good reason) I'm going with a Maduro out of left field. Just when you think you know Cohiba they go and make a cigar nobody expected. Ironically, I've never smoked a Cohiba but that's my pathetic stab at glory. Lately I haven't been able to get my mind off the Avo Limited Edition 2005 I recently enjoyed for my 26th. I'm a noob and I've been smoking for about 4 years. I hope to learn some new things about cigars here on the forums and look forward to meeting new people. Cheers!

OK, this thread is now closed. In a few hours, a new Havana Corner is going up that will reveal the new Cohiba size. Thanks for the entries.

James is still in Cuba, but you can expect a congratulatory post from him here very soon.

it's a torpedo cohiba that has both a limitada wrapper and a natural wrapper ( pretty much a barber pole cigar much like the fuente heminway "between the lines" but in a torpedo size).

I am in the Melia Cohiba right now. It looks like somebody called davel1 wins the contest. David Savona will confirm. But I have a really cool Cohiba for the winner from my humidor. It's the Dominican Cohiba -- the one that the US court system says is the real one. (Just joking.)

Anyway, thanks to all of you for your participation. Just to let you know. You should scoop up all the R&J Short Churchills you can get your hands on. This is a wonderful robusto that is being launched in the next few weeks globally and I have smoked a couple this week in Havana. Yummy stuff.

Tonight is the gala dinner in Havana. I am up for Habanos Man of the Year. Wish me luck. Smoke to my health....and yours.

Speak to you all tomorrow!
