Hello all, been watching and listening in the shadows for some time now and figured it was high time to say hello.

I'd like to begin by saying that you have all been a wealth of information and I have greatly benefited from your years of knowledge.
Thank you.

If you all don't mind I have a question. I have been enjoying cigars for about a year now and want to invest in a larger humidor (apx 125 ct). I have a line on a NIB Daniel Marshall Treasure Chest model for several hundred less than retail, but still several hundred more than one from say, Tampa humidor.

Is a Daniel Marshall (or any other of the top name makers for that matter) going to perform THAT much better? Or am I tossing away money that I could be spending on some quality sticks?

Thanks in advance
C T

I don't have enough experience to respond to your question but you might get a little more action if you moved your thread to "Cigar Talk".

Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here. You are tossing away money that you could be spending on some quality sticks. If you wanna spend big bucks on a good humi, invest in a thermoelectric wine cooler. Do a search on this site for recommendations as well as help with a conversion. 125ct will fill up way too quick.

In general, an expensive humidor will do no better for storing your cigars than a cheap humidor. One exception is if the cheap humidor is really a piece of crap.
