I like the La Casa del Habano on Blvd. St. Germain. They sell singles in the bar, have a full range of Havana Club rums and make a nice mojito. Great espresso, too. They have a better selection if you want to buy full boxes.

You might also try Le Lotus, which is over near the Madeleine, or Boutique 22. I used to like A La Civette, near the Louvre and the Rue de Rivoli, but I was in there a couple weeks ago and they are overhumidifying their cigars. The staff also seems very disinterested in cigars. It's too bad because they have a big selection of singles and boxes.

It's not a real LCDH. Go to the site that knows.

Yes Mike, it is not an "official" LCDH. I think I have stated as much in the past. In this case, it doesn't matter that it is not "official" because they sell good cigars. There are no official LCDHs in Paris, but there are many fine places to buy authentic cigars.

THIS is the site that knows. I was in Paris a month ago and I smoked many fine cigars.

I've been in official LCDH stores before with crappy staff, poor selection, and miserable storage conditions (read that as mold). What you need, if you're looking for good cigars, is a good tobaconist, not the letters "LCDH".

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
