Were these cigars ever widely available? I'm pretty sure I smoked one this summer and enjoyed it. Anyone know the history and general availability of this cigar?

Thanks,

These were available in Porcelain Jars for the millenium, Montecristo Robustos, Cohiba Piramides and Cuaba Diademas.

I bought both a jar of the Cohibas and Montecristos, the Cohibas were and are excelent some of the best cigars ive tasted.

But the montecristo robustos have been very mediocre, they burn to hot and have a losse draw, I really did not like them, I still have a couple in the humidor, the jar looks nice do.

Some poster here say the Montecristo Robusto is one of the best cigars, and CA rated it like a 95.

But mine were just to mediocre.

They Cohiba Piramides were so good, and yes the taste just lasted for hours, I burned my fingers at the end, they were just to good, not that strong, and very rich and chocolaty.

And they burned straight with a snow white ash, actually I might just have one for christmas, not that many left, and the jars now go for like 2K.

These cigars were grossly overrated...all of the 3. The wrappers that they used were very thick and hard, and had a very profound influence on the flavor. The cigars did not in ANY way represent the lines they purported to be (Cohiba, Montecristo...well, maybe Cuaba because they are and were terrible to begin with...). So you paid $500 for a nice jar.

The Montecristo was AMAZING!
Then again, it tasted NOTHING like the Monte line and it was a very light robusto to smoke. I was give one from a fellow Canadian Cuban cigar freind for my wedding in Cuba. I tell ya, it went REALLY well with some Moet & Chandon champgne!!
