Had another one tonight while walking with my daughter up to the ROM in downtown TO. What a great smoke, good draw, nice aromas, very wide flavor profile.

Just bought another box for long term storage. Same box code as the first, same great price. Best frikin Cuban cigar value of the year if you can get a box from Spring of 07.

How do you like the #1's? Have you tried them yet? I feel the same way about those.

No, I have never had a JL #1. In fact the JL #2 is the first time I have ever tried a JL cigar.

Give it a try Steve. David Savona recommended it to me and wow is it good. I bet it is very similar to the #2.

cigdogg, what you mean? $185 for JL Seleccion #2 IS a great price!!!

I personally prefer #2 over #1. I don't know it feels like #1 has less complexity, though it's still a good stick.

I have tried them both. Both were 08's. they are not the same to me. The #2 is smoother, and more pronounced flavor profile. The #1 is stronger, and you can taste the youth, more so than the #2. There also seemed to be a bigger nicotine blast in the #1. I liked the #1, but the #2 was better to me.

hsmunoz, I think you just added flesh to the bones of my thoughts. I agree 100% with you, despite my JLs are 3 years older.

cigdogg, you've got mail.

Tried these beauties for the 1st time today with some vintage taylor port. Possibly the most well-constructed production CC I have ever had. Perfect draw from start to finish. Cool smoke till the nub. Complex, peppery flavors with cocoa, leather and a fresh, vegetal taste not unlike the one found in the Illusione range. Easy to light in windy weather. Relatively cheap price.

VERDICT: I will be expecting a mysterious package that may or may not contain a cedar-lined box filled with delicious, combustible organic produce.

Can I e-mail you? I'm 99% sure I know where you're talking about, but not completely sure. One of my places has them, but only in 50 CABs.
