I have a couple of the Radio Shack 63-855 digital hygrometer/thermometer, and have been pleased with them. However, I just went to buy a new one, and was told that they no longer make them, or a similar small size either.

I've been looking on-line, and been considering a Caliber II that I found for under $20. Any thoughts/comments/advice?

Thanks for the help. Anybody familiar with the "Little Havana" cigar shaped hygrometer?

I'm not sure why you would have been told they are no longer made, but I just priced out one with the three receiving sources this weekend. There was no mention of them no longer being available. The Manager I spoke with was willing to order more (there were only 2 sources there) and actually said they were a great seller. If you'd be interested in them, I would be more than willing to pick one up and send it to you.

lstn2dmb- Thanks for the offer; I would have, but I've just ordered a couple Caliber II's. I don't know why I was told that by 2 different outlets: both said that the code # 63-855 didn't show up on their computer (after I had to explain to the entire staff in both stores what a 'hygrometer' was), and was therefor discontinued. I asked if it defaulted to, or was replaced by a newer model, and was told 'no'. I asked if they could find out if any other outlets in town had any left, and was told the location of one, and that I was welcome to check for myself. Maybe because I live in NYC- not exactly known for customer service...Thanks for the help, Radio Shack
