well.. I finally indulged last night, and opened one of the two boxes I have of the 06 piramides... Big Grin Big Grin

all I have to say is WOW.. .. these are some fantastic smokes...

excellent construction, with a long full bodied finish.. plenty of smoke to play with... and exploding flavours in your mouth... the only drawback, it had some slight burning issues, but nothing that a small flame from time to time couldn't fix....

I am so impressed by these babies that I think I'll be ordering another box to stash away....

i rate it a 95+....

started it with some chevas royal salute.... and finished it with a cup of Cuban turquino coffee... I am still drewling just thinking about it.. now I'll have to fight my urges every day to control myslef....

I liked the one I have tried so far too. I am told that they don't have the same flavor profile as the rest of the Cohiba line, and although my experience is not extensive, I'd agree to a point. None of the ELs that I've had (and I've only had a few) smoked much like the particular brand's "regular" smokes, undoubtedly due to the EL wrappers.

Of course, I've been told repeatedly that only idiots would shell out for the Cohiba EL, but hey, I would have just wasted the money on something else. I'm looking forward to seeing how these do with more age.

oh ya.. and I think only idiots drive ferraris when they can get 100 Ladas for the same price... Wink

give me a break... if you can afford it, there isn't ANYTHING in life that is too expensive... we only live once, and therefore we have to enjoy your life... money is made to be spent.. once you die, you're not taking anything with you.. so enjoy it... but of course, when you can't afford it, there are plenty of reasons why you shouldn't get it.. right ???

ignore those comments, and stock up on the piramides (or any other premium smoke you like)... i know I will...

if you can afford them.. and i really mean AFFORD them.. then by all means.. try one out... now I am not saying smoke them coz you can, just try one out, and if you really like them, then you go buy them all up (again, only if you can afford them)

I bought three boxes of these, but so far I've only smoked two singles.(I gave three singles away) I think these will age well, the two I tried seemed deceptively strong, like the flavor helped cover up the true strength of the cigar until it delivered its knockout punch! Construction on my cigars was flawless, and the mere sight of them is enough to impress. It looks like the price is coming down on them now, too, so it may be a good time to pick some up, if you've managed to procrastinate this long...

I purchased 2 boxes of these, and I have smoked 6 of them already, very nice smoke, cigars burn well, and taste wonderful.

I like the taste of these far more than the regular Cohiba line.
